Clarksville’s Rivers and Spires Festival to be held April 14th-16th

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – The 14th annual award-winning free Rivers and Spires Festival is set for April 14th-16th, 2016. Festival goers will enjoy five stages of live entertainment with over 100 performers during the three days.

From children’s activities, arts vendors, a car show, military exhibits, shopping and so much more, this is truly an event for the whole family. Country music artist and reality star Kellie Pickler will headline the Public Square stage at 7:30pm and Dove awarding artist Plumb will headline the Christian stage at 7:00pm on Saturday night.

Rivers and Spires announces Kellie Pickler as Headliner for 2016 Festival

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – The Rivers and Spires Festival is pleased to announce Kellie Pickler and Plumb as the Festival headliners for Saturday, April 16th. Kellie Pickler will perform on the Public Square Stage at 7:30pm. Plumb will perform on the Christian Stage at 7:00pm. All concerts are free and open to the public.

Country music artist and television personality, Kellie Pickler rose from a small town country girl to American celebrity. You might know Kellie from the 2005 ‘American Idol’ season where she finished sixth or from her numerous singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs list, like “I Wonder”, “Best Days of Your Life”, and “Red High Heels.”

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – The Rivers And Spires Festival, brought to you by Coors Light and Agero, is pleased to announce Grammy award-winning and multi-platinum selling country music superstar, Ronnie Milsap, will take the Public Square Stage on Friday, April 17th. The concert is free and open to the public.

One of the biggest and most sought-after country music artists of the 70s and 80s, Milsap will perform some of his biggest hits that have made him a legend. Yesterday at Clarksville’s Rivers and Spires Festival was Outstanding!

Clarksville, TN – The second day of the Rivers and Spires Festival was without a doubt better than the first! Things officially kicked off around 5:00pm though many people started arriving much earlier. I got there around 4:00pn and the streets were already crowded. As the evening wore on, the streets got fuller and fuller, showing that Clarksvillians were turning out in droves for second day of three-day festival.

“I think it’s things are going great!,” said Cal Wray, the Executive Director of the Clarksville-Montgomery County economic development Council. This marks his first Rivers and Spires Festival since taking the position in February. “It’s a great crowd, and all of the logistics seem to be going very well from the Convention and Visitors Bureau side as well,” he said. “The Festival is a lot of fun. We have some great vendors, some great acts, and so hopefully everyone will have a good time at the Festival tonight and tomorrow!”

Thunderstorms that moved through the area last night are gone and the weather forecast is partly sunny with a high of 73°F. The music starts at 5:00pm and continues to 10:00pm.
