Nominations Open for Clarksville Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards

Clarksville, TN – The Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for three annual awards: The Ted A. Crozier Sr. Community Commitment Award, Boots to Suits: Veteran of the Year and Young Professional of the Year.
Nominations must be received at the Chamber by Friday, April 7th 3027 and winners will be announced at the Chamber’s Annual Gala on Tuesday, May 9th.
Humorist Jeanne Robertson Brings Big Laughs Back to Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – Following last month’s sold out show, Visit Clarksville is pleased to welcome comedian Jeanne Robertson back for a side-splitting encore performance. Robertson will take the stage at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center on November 9th. Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm show.
Clarksville’s Rivers and Spires Festival in need of Volunteers

Clarksville, TN – The award-winning Rivers and Spires Festival is a community driven event that is organized by hundreds of dedicated volunteers each year. But, in order to be successful, we need your support!
With over 600 volunteer positions to fill, there are still plenty of opportunities to get involved. If interested in volunteering, you can sign up and learn more at the pre-Festival meeting on April 16th at the lower level of the Capital Bank Building, 25 Jefferson Street.
Clarksville to host 2014 Miss Tennessee USA Pageants this Week

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville will host nearly 100 young women competing in the upcoming 2014 Miss Tennessee USA and Teen USA pageants.
Both events will take place at the Austin Peay State University Music and Mass Communications Building on October 4th and 5th, 2013. This will be Clarksville’s fourteenth year hosting the pageants.

2011 Go Commando winner offers advice for Runners

Clarksville, TN – Nearly a year ago, Daniel Hazelton crossed the finishline at the Go Commando Half Marathon powered by CDE Lightband and became the first winner of this annual event. Now, Hazelton offers training tips and advice to all those who plan to Go Commando on October 20th, 2012.
A seasoned runner, Hazelton had already participated in countless other races prior to the Go Commando Half Marathon on October 15th, 2011. While training for the 2011 race, he was also preparing for the Army Ten-Miler in Washington, D.C. As part of the Fort Campbell Ten Mile Team, Hazelton and his team won first place in the Active Duty Mixed Division. [Read more]
