Gwendolyn Rodriguez Shows Art Planters Bank November 7th

Clarksville, TN – Gwendolyn Rodriguez loves to paint pictures that tell a story of a person or a time and place. Her paintings, showing a sample of her diverse interests and places around the world, will be on display at the Planters Bank-Hilldale Gallery Thursday, November 7th – Wednesday, December 4th.
Although born in San Antonio, Texas, Rodriguez spent most of her childhood in Middle Tennessee. At 18, she experienced life as an exchange student in Germany, where she developed a passion for travel and languages.

Clarksville, TN – The next meeting of the Clarksville (TN) Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, August 21st, 2013 at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Gateway Medical Center. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall.
The meeting begins at 7:00pm and is always open to the public. Members please bring a friend or two – new recruits are always welcomed.

4th Annual Mikefest benefit Festival to be held at Woodlawn May 4th

Woodlawn, TN – Several hard-rock bands from the Nashville and Clarksville areas will perform at the fifth-annual Mikefest on Saturday, May 4th, to raise money for Sgt. Keith Hale and his family.
The outdoor event, at 3825 Old Dover Road North in Woodlawn, just south of Fort Campbell, will feature several hard-rock bands from the Nashville/Clarksville areas. [Read more]

Wounded Warriors biking across the country to stop in Clarksville for Rivers and Spires Festival

Clarksville TN – The ‘Wounded Warrior Welcome Project’ was formed in 2011 to welcome home injured soldiers who were returning to Middle Tennessee. The Project has organized welcome home more than a half dozen soldiers returning from their stays at Army Medical Hospitals in DC and Texas.
In addition we made 4 trips to Walter Reed Medical Hospital in 2011 and will be making 2 more this year. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – This month, the Austin Peay State University Women’s and Gender Studies Program, the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance and V-Day are celebrating 11 years of producing Eve Ensler’s award-winning play, “The Vagina Monologues.”
