Cabela’s King Kat Qualifier Making a Stop in Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – King Kat Fishing Tournament presented by Bass Pro and Cabela’s will make a stop in Clarksville. April 9th, 2022. Liberty Park will host fishermen looking to make waves on their way to the Cabela’s King Kat Classic in Decatur, AL. The qualifier will start at 6:3am with the final weigh-in at 4:00pm.
One of the focal points of this day will be the Kids’ Fishing Rodeo taking place at the Liberty Park Fishing Pond starting at 9:00am. This aspect of the event is open to all children age 12 and under.
Clarksville Community Concert Association announces Huntertones concert at Austin Peay State University

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Community Concert Association (CCCA)’s 70th anniversary season continues with a concert by Huntertones, a “soulful, tasty and groovy” genre-defying band that delivers high-energy, horn-driven music.
The band will perform on Saturday, April 9th at 7:30pm in the George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall, at the corner of Marion Street and Eighth Street at Austin Peay State University (APSU).

Back are customer favorites like tandoor chicken, pasanda, chicken 65, lamb kebab, spinach potato, mushroom zucchini, navatan quvma, centel soup, different types of pakora each week, rice pudding, centel soup, salad, and of course, naan. Some of the dishes available change each Sunday.
Local Restaurants take part in 9th annual United We Dine

Each participating restaurant will donate a portion of the day’s proceeds to help support the work of over 30 local United Way partner agency programs.
Customs House Museum & Cultural Center Hosts Breaking Through: The Rise of American Women Artists

Clarksville, TN – Continuing their celebration of women in the arts, the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center is currently hosting the exhibit Breaking Through: The Rise of American Women Artists. This juried show includes 124 paintings and sculptures by members of American Women Artists (AWA).
AWA is a nonprofit membership organization made up of women artists, patrons, and gallery owners throughout the United States and Canada.
Since its inaugural exhibition in 1990, AWA has worked to increase the number of professional opportunities for women in the visual fine arts through museum shows, symposiums, workshops, international exhibitions, and juried competitions in leading galleries around the country.
Austin Peay State University’s Science on Tap explores the science in the movies with “Moneyball”

Clarksville, TN – When the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Science on Tap returns to Strawberry Alley Ale Works on April 5th, APSU professors will continue their examination of how Hollywood blockbuster movies portray science.
At last month’s Science on Tap, Dr. Catherine Haase, Dr. Kallina Dunkle and Phil Roberson explored the science depicted in 1993’s “Jurassic Park.” April’s lecture will focus on how the 2011 film “Moneyball” portrays sabermetrics – the analysis of baseball statistics.
GODSPELL weaves its magic at the Roxy Regional Theatre, April 8th-23rd

GODSPELL, the international hit musical loosely based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew, opens at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Friday, April 8th, at 8:00pm. In keeping with the theatre’s pay-what-you-can opening night tradition, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.
Matthew Combs stars as Jesus Christ, with Talon Beeson doubling as John the Baptist and Judas, in this musical sensation featuring songs by award-winning composer Stephen Schwartz (Wicked and Pippin) and written, conceived, and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department’s Father-Daughter Date Night set for April 9th

Clarksville, TN – Come one, come all to a fun-filled evening where young women from ages 5 to 17 can dance the night away.
The occasion is the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department’s Father-Daughter Date Night, presented by Altra Federal Credit Union from 5:30pm-8:30pm Saturday, April 9th at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.
The event’s theme is the circus and will feature a sit-down dinner, dancing, games, a photo booth, and crafts for attendees to complete together.
Tiffany Perkins, Event Planning Specialist with Clarksville Parks and Recreation, said the event is designed to make young women feel special.
Visit Clarksville announces New Challenge Trails

By using the Visit Clarksville app, visitors and residents can select a trail of their interest, check-in at the required number of stops, earn a Challenge Badge in the app, and receive a custom-designed pin in the mail.

APSU to hold Flute Day 2022 on March 27th

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) Department of Music will celebrate Flute Day 2022 with a day filled with masterclasses, discussions, and a concert featuring internationally praised flutist Dr. Alexa Still.
The day – on Sunday, March 27th – will include interactive workshops and masterclasses for high school and collegiate players and a question-and-answer discussion on careers in music before culminating with the concert.
