Clarksville Riverfest announces Parking Information, Festival Rules and Lane Closures for Riverside Drive

Clarksville's Riverfest CelebrationClarksville, TN – There will be lane closures on Riverside Drive for Clarksville’s Riverfest Festival Friday, September 11th and Saturday, September 12th, 2015.

Traffic will be slower moving than usual during this time period, so we recommend drivers plan alternate routes or give themselves plenty of time to travel to their destination.

Free parking will be available at Austin Peay State University’s Dunn Center parking lot.

There will be lane closures along Riverside Drive for Riverfest on Friday, September 11th through Saturday, September 12th.

Clarksville's Riverfest CelebrationClarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Riverfest Celebration continues Friday, September 11th at McGregor Park with a 9/11 Commemoration Ceremony at 4:45pm on the Miller Lite Stage, followed by performances by the Fort Campbell Band, The Rocketmen, Tina Brown Band, Serieux and more.

First Baptist Church will host Christian performers Sons of Levi, Dionne Jermeia, Bellarive and more on the Riverbend Stage.

Clarksville's Riverfest CelebrationClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Miller Lite kicked off Riverfest on a new night this year with the Riverfest Art Experience.

The Riverfest Art Experience was held on Thursday, September 10th at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center at Liberty Park and included an Art Show, Film Festival, Food Truck Rally, and performance by Temptations Legacy group, Serieux.

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – A few years ago, the journalist Kelsey Timmerman saw his favorite T-shirt on a growing mound of dirty clothes, and he noticed the tag said it was made in Honduras. For the next few minutes, he worked his way through the pile, wondering where the other garments came from.

“This question inspired the quest that took me around the globe,” Timmerman wrote in the prologue of his best-selling book, “Where Am I Wearing? A Global Tour to the Countries, Factories, and People that Make Clothes.”

Living history with the 3rd Kentucky at Fort Defiance this weekend

APSU art professor Collins exhibits work in New York City show

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – The Painting Center, an art gallery in New York City that is regularly mentioned in national publications such as The New Yorker and ArtForum, is hosting a solo exhibition this month of work by Paul Collins, Austin Peay State University associate professor of art.

The exhibit, titled “Into the Yellow Wood,” features a series of painted and collaged images that, according to the gallery, “examine the absurdity of the artist’s own unshakable romanticism. These works examine the construction of natural beauty under the scouring light of ecological Armageddon.”

Five vocal alumni return to APSU for Distinguished Vocal Alumni Concert on September 25th
