Clarksville’s 18th annual Christmas on the Cumberland Opens

Clarksville, TN – Tuesday night, November 22nd, hundreds of people gathers at the McGregor Park RiverWalk and Museum for the grand opening ceremony of the City of Clarksville’s 18th annual Christmas on the Cumberland.
Just before the ceremony began, those in attendance were treated to Christmas Carols by the Rossview High School Choir.

Clarksville, TN – Once again this fall, the Clarksville Street Department will offer free pickup of yard debris, leaves and limbs.
The fall service period will begin Monday, October 24th and continue through December 5th.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation receives Four Star Award for Heritage Park Greenway Connection

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department received a Four Star Award from the Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association (TRPA) at this year’s state convention held in Kingsport, Tennessee.
The award was given in recognition of the Heritage Park Greenway Connection.
Clarksville Street Department becomes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified

Montgomery County, TN – Clarksville Street Department is the latest city department to become Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified.
City of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett and Chamber Vice President Melinda Shepard were present at the green ribbon cutting to congratulate the employees.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Street Department will pick up your yard debris if it is in paper yard bags and if your branches/limbs are less than 3 feet long. All of your yard debris needs to be stacked in your yard close to the street.

The Lighting of Christmas on the Cumberland Signals the Start of the 2011 Holiday Season

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville kicked off the 13th Annual Christmas on the Cumberland last night, which continues until January 1st. The annual free holiday display features over 1,000,000 individual Lights in a amazing Christmas display that spans the entire length of McGregor Park in Downtown Clarksville.
