Riverfest to hold 4th Annual Lighted Boat Parade

Clarksville, TN – Sit back and watch as the Cumberland River is illuminated in a majestic display of floating lights during the 4th Annual Riverfest Lighted Boat Parade Saturday night, September 10th. The boats leave the Marina Basin at 7:00pm and procede down the parade route past McGregor Park and the Riverfest Celebration.
Don’t want to just be a bystander in the show? Enter your boat in the festivities and you may even come home with an award!

The Big Bass Fishing Tournament returns to Riverfest

Clarksville, TN – The Big Bass Fishing Tournament is returning to Riverfest this year.
After Fairgrounds Park was closed for construction, the tournament was put on hold. With the recent opening of the new Clarksville Marina boat ramps at Liberty Park, the tournament will return for it’s second year to benefit the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation. [Read more]
Riverfest Presents the 2nd Annual Shooting for Big Cats Tournament

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville is excited about the return of the Shooting for Big Cats Fishing Tournament to this year’s Riverfest celebration.

Movies in the Park this Saturday

Clarksville, TN – Join Clarksville Parks and Recreation this Saturday, August 20th, at Heritage Park Soccer Fields for this month’s Movies in the Park event, featuring the hit movie – “How to Train Your Dragon,” which is rated PG.
All movies begin at dusk, with pre-show activities beginning an hour prior. Be sure to bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs. As always, you are welcome to bring your picnic basket, but concessions will be available.
Jammin’ in the Alley Concert Series to feature the Next Level Band and market vendors

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville together with U.S. Bank will be Jammin’ in Strawberry Alley again on Friday. Join us August 19th for this month’s free concert and to enjoy yet another “night market,” featuring more than a dozen vendors from Clarksville’s weekly Downtown Market. Vendors will be set up from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, and the concert will begin at 7:00pm.

Kleeman Community Center honors military with Military Support Night and Military Family Fun Night

Clarksville, TN – The Kleeman Community Center invites the public to join in celebrating our military. The Kleeman Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, begins its Military Support Night Tuesday, August 16th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Area soldiers can come enjoy refreshments and socialize with their peers on the first Tuesday of each month. No Center ID card is required to participate. [Read more]
Pooch Pool Party today at Swan Lake Pool

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is holding the first-ever Pooch Pool Party from 1:00pm to 4:00pm today at Swan Lake Pool, located at 2002 Sanders Road.
All dogs must be at least 6 months old and have proof of current vaccinations. Ramps will be available to provide easy access to the pool for the dogs. Cost for Pool Pooch Party is $3.00 per dog. Owners will be limited to one dog per person.

Collin Raye to headline Riverfest 2011

Clarksville, TN – Join the City of Clarksville and Bud Light along the banks of the Cumberland River as they celebrate Clarksville’s river heritage at the 24th annual Riverfest Celebration, September 9th and 10th, 2011. This free, two day music and arts festival features four stages of a variety of local, regional and nationally-known entertainers, delicious food, and fun for the entire family.
The music kicks off at 5:00pm, Friday, with a great lineup of Christian performers on the Mary’s the Music Store Stage to include Britt Nicole who will perform at 9:00pm. Ekoh, Black Market Research and UZoo – The Authentic U2 Tribute Band Experience will take to the Bud Light Stage on Friday night, followed by the ultimate Journey tribute band, Chain Reaction.
America’s favorite park will win $100,000

Vote for Heritage Park
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is asking park-goers to vote for their favorite parks. Heritage Park is in the running for a $100,000 prize, but it needs votes, lots of votes!
Parks that receive the most votes will receive grants as part of Coca-Cola’s “America Is Your Park” national campaign to restore, rebuild or enhance our parks. [Read more]
