Updated signs will direct motorists to tourist attractions in Clarksville
Clarksville, TN – A local wayfinding signage project will benefit from a $75,000 Tourism Enhancement Grant presented Monday to the City of Clarksville by the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development.
The signage project is a partnership between the City and the Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention and Visitors Bureau, which is also known as Visit Clarksville.

Clarksville, TN – Mark your calendars, because the Queens will be back in Clarksville for the 15th year in a row. Brought to you by Greenwood Productions, the 2015 Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Tennessee Teen USA Pageant will be held on October 3rd and 4th at the George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall in Austin Peay State University Music and Mass Communications Building.
The preliminary show will take place on Friday, October 3rd at 6:30pm. The finals will be broken down into two shows, with the Teens competing at 3:00pm and the Miss contestants competing at 7:30pm. Both the Miss and Teen winners will represent the State of Tenneessee at the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants in 2015.
Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention & Visitors Bureau offering group tours packages mixing local attractions, big-name concerts

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is engaging in an exciting new Group Tour program that enhances local tourism, while at the same time providing amazing entertainment options for local residents right here at home.
A series of group tours lasting for 4 days each are planned for Memorial Day, the 4th of July, and Labor Day; and are billed as “Heroes, Hometowns and Legends.” With the final tour this year being a 3 day event planned for the Christmas season billed as “God, Country, Christmas.”

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville has been selected as the sixth stop on the 2011 Chevrolet Fireball Run Adventurally. The teams will arrive in Clarksville on Thursday September 29th between 3:00pm-4:00pm. Once they arrive in Clarksville the teams will have several tasks to complete before they head for the finish line in Historic Downtown Clarksville. The Drivers will stay over night before leaving at 8:00am the following morning as Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan wavers the green flag kicking off the next leg of the rally.
This unique competition begins its southern excursion on September 23rd in Melbourne, FL, and ends on October 1st in Gulfport, MS, with plenty of action and sights along the route. The Chevrolet Fireball Run Adventurally Series is an action packed, one week, 2500 mile Adventurally production. The mission and destination based rally competition is live cast, filmed in 1080p HD for broadcast, theatrical release, and it will be released on home video.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention and Visitors Bureau appreciates the community support received during the recent recording of Lifetime Network’s newest reality show Coming Home.
The premise of the reality show is to recognize the struggles of military families and those who serve. Military family reunions have become an online sensation, where millions of people have been inspired watching footage of loved ones reconnecting with their Service Member. Coming Home follows the lives of military families across the nation. During each segment the deployed soldier comes home to surprise his or her family in a dramatic, and emotional, reunion. The film crew had been to several other military communities including: Norfolk, VA; Camp Lejeune, NC and aboard the USS Harry S. Truman before visiting Clarksville. [Read more]
Rivers and Spires Festival Announces 2011 Headliner

Clarksville, TN. The Rivers and Spires Festival is thrilled to announce that Grammy and CMA award-winning country music singer/songwriter Clint Black will be the featured headliner at the 2011 Festival. Black will take the stage as the main event on Saturday night, April 16, 2011. The concert is free and open to the public.
Black is recognized for his string of hits in the 90’s such as Killin’ Time, Nothin’ But The Taillights, Like The Rain and No Time to Kill. Many also know him from his appearance in the film Maverick, special appearance on Extreme Makeover Home Edition and his stint on Celebrity Apprentice with Donald Trump. Black has had more than 30 singles on the U.S. Billboard country charts and of those, 22 were number ones. During his 14 years signed with RCA Records, Black had sold more than 12 million albums. In the early 2000’s, Black formed his own record label, Equity Music Group.
