APSU’s Charles Booth wins Tennessee Arts Commission fellowship in literature

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) director of communications this week won one of three Tennessee Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowships in Literature.
Charles Booth – who helps to lead the University’s public relations and marketing efforts – won the 2021 Tennessee Arts Commission Fellow in Fiction.
APSU Public Relations, Marketing earns 16 Tennessee College Public Relations Association trophies

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) Public Relations and Marketing team won 16 awards during the 2019 Tennessee College Public Relations Association Awards at the association’s May 24th annual meeting.
The team won four golds, five silvers and seven bronzes.

Clarksville, TN – The Office of Public Relations and Marketing at Austin Peay State University has been recognized by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) – Southeast District III for its recruitment work.
The office received a special merit award in the recruitment publication series category for print and digital pieces. The printed pieces selected for the honor were part of the Traditional Student Recruitment Series. [Read more]
APSU Senior Exhibition “Third World America” by Stephanie Camfield at Trahern Gallery November 3rd

Clarksville, TN – On Monday, November 3rd, 2014, the Trahern Gallery, located on Austin Peay State University Campus, will be hosting a BFA show featuring “Third World America” from designer Stephanie Camfield.
Camfield’s “Third World America” exhibit features posters and photographs that examine concerns in the United States and raise awareness of some issues Americans currently face.
APSU creates military tuition assistance scholarship to help students impacted by Federal Government shutdown

Clarksville, TN – Last Friday, Austin Peay State University officials distributed an email to their active duty military students, letting them know plans were being put in place to keep them in school regardless of the temporary shutdown of Tuition Assistance (TA), a benefit provided by the military to cover tuition expenses incurred by active duty military pursuing college credit.
On Monday, after notification was sent stating the federal budget had not passed, APSU president Tim Hall initiated an effort to implement a scholarship to offset the shutdown of TA. [Read more]
Andriy Kovalskyy named 2013 Hawkins Award Winner at APSU

Clarksville, TN – Dr. Andriy Kovalskyy, associate professor of physics, was named the recipient of Austin Peay State University’s prestigious Richard M. Hawkins Award during a ceremony on April 29th.
The award is presented every spring in recognition of exceptional scholarly and creative work produced by a faculty member.
