Clarksville’s Russ Shemberger wins overall male title at Triathlon in West Kentucky

Clarksville, TN – Russ Shemberger, a licensed sports massage therapist at Restore Performance Massage on Madison Street in Clarksville, won overall male in the first Twin Lakes Triathlon held Saturday, July 13th at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park in Calvert City, KY.
Shemberger finished the 800-yard swim, 14-mile bike and 3.1-mile run in 1:13:30, posting the best time among a field of approximately 80 other triathletes.

Clarksville, TN – Heritage Bank is pleased to announce Vickie T. Wallace as the 2013 Heritage Bank Scholarship Fund Montgomery County Honoree.
Nineteen seniors from the Montgomery County area will receive the Heritage Bank High School Scholarship in honor of Mrs. Wallace and the commitment she has made to the Montgomery County community.
Over the last ten years, Heritage Bank has committed over $194,000 dollars in scholarship funds to 388 senior high school students planning to attend a higher education institution. [Read more]

Austin Peay State University taps Veteran Admissions Employees as new Director

Clarksville, TN – Since May 1996, Amy Deaton has seen a countless number of students enter the admissions office at Austin Peay State University.
She started working at APSU almost 16 years ago as an admissions counselor, and today, she is now the University’s director of admissions.
Deaton, of Clarksville, was named to her new post recently by APSU officials. Serving as interim director since August 2011, she said she is eager to help continue the enrollment growth seen in recent years at The Peay. [Read more]
