Clarksville’s McGregor Park to reopen Friday for Riverfest

Clarksville, TN – Sunny and pleasant weather is forecast Thursday through Saturday for Clarksville’s Riverfest Celebration, offering a welcome change from last week’s storms and flooding.
Heavy rains swept through Clarksville early Friday, pushing the Cumberland River to flood stage, covering McGregor Park’s two outdoor stages and forcing Clarksville Parks and Recreation to close the park.

Canoe and Kayak race now part of Riverfest
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s canoe and kayak race Rally on the Cumberland is back for a fifth year and is now part of Clarksville’s Riverfest.
Rally on the Cumberland will be at 8:00am on Saturday, September 9th, 2017 on the Cumberland River, beginning at the Montgomery County Conservation Club and ending at the McGregor Park boat ramp, approximately 6 miles in length.
Riverfest seeks vendors, entertainers, artists

Clarksville, TN – Applications are being accepted for the City of Clarksville’s 30th annual Riverfest Celebration, presented by Budweiser. The Festival will be Thursday, September 7th through Saturday, September 9th, 2017. Vendors and entertainers are encouraged to apply online at www.clarksvilleriverfest.com

YMCA Race Series kicks off 2016 season With The Gauntlet presented by CDE Lightband

Clarksville, TN – Get on your mark, Middle Tennessee: the YMCA Race Series kicks off its 2016 season with the 3rd Annual Gauntlet presented this year by CDE Lightband on Saturday, May 21st.
For its second year, the race is again set to take teams of two on three miles of trails through Rotary Park, with 11 fun and challenging partner obstacles in your route.
“Here’s to Heroes” Fundraiser at Tilted Kilt in Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – Budweiser and Tilted Kilt kicked off their 3rd annual fundraising program, “Here’s to Heroes” on May 27th. The fundraiser is designed to raise money for the Folds of Honor Foundation which seeks to provide educational scholarships to family members and dependents of fallen or injured soldiers.
For a six week period, customers are given an opportunity to purchase a $1.00 or $5.00 paper dog tag to be personally customized and displayed on the pub walls.

Budweiser Clydesdales coming to Fort Campbell Saturday

Clarksville, TN – Budweiser of Clarksville, and Budweiser of Hopkinsville, part of the Hand Family Companies, have arranged for the famous Budweiser Clydesdales to visit Fort Campbell Kentucky on Saturday, June 9th from noon-3:00pm at the Fort Campbell Exchange.
“The Clydesdales are the best-known symbol of the Budweiser brand and we are bringing them to Fort Campbell in support of Budweiser’s partnership with the Folds of Honor Foundation,” said JR Hand, President and Chief Operating Officer of Hand Family Companies.
Anheuser-Busch recognizes Budweiser of Clarksville and Budweiser of Hopkinsville as Ambassadors of Excellence

Clarksville, TN – Budweiser of Clarksville, a beverage distributorship and the corporate hub of Hand Family Companies, and Budweiser of Hopkinsville (KY), also a Hand Family Companies property, were recognized as “Ambassadors of Excellence” by Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company for their 2011 performance.
Only 20 of the more than 700 Anheuser-Busch wholesalers in the nation were selected for the award, and the Clarksville facility placed fourth.
Hand Family Companies learned of the awards in February and the two facilities were recognized during the Ambassadors of Excellence Top Performers meeting held April 12th-15th in Monterey, California. [Read more]
