Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Clarksville BBQ Bash winners

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department hosted Clarksville’s third annual Clarksville BBQ Bash on Saturday, October 19th, 2019 at Liberty Park.
The BBQ Bash included a full barbecue competition, people’s choice, cornhole tournament, artisan vendors and kids activities.
Barbeque Competition: Nineteen competitors from near and far met on the banks of the Cumberland River this weekend to see who had the best barbeque. A team of judges evaluated barbeque in three categories (pork, chicken, ribs) based on the following criteria: taste, appearance, and texture.
Hilldale Civitan Club to hold 39th Annual State of Tennessee Old-Time Fiddlers’ Championship

Clarksville, TN – On March 8th and 9th 2013, the Hilldale Civitan Club will hold its official “Old-Time Fiddlers’ Championship and Festival” at Rossview High School.
The Festival will start at 7:00pm on Friday, March 8th and at 9:00am on Saturday, March 9th.
Bowl for Kids’ Sake Benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – Big Brothers Big Sisters is recruiting teams for their 30th annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake. The annual fundraiser has brought the Clarksville community together to raise funds for the non-profit’s mentoring programs for many years. This event is expected to raise $80,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville.
The Main Event will be going green on Saturday, March 17th, 2012 at The Pinnacle. The times are 9:00am to 3:00pm. Last year, the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System raised an impressive $18,400 with teams comprised of students, faculty and central office personnel. [Read more]
1st Annual Joint Juvenile Justice Conference to take place at APSU

Clarksville, TN – The 1st Annual Joint Juvenile Justice Conference will take place Saturday, April 16th, 2011 on the campus of Austin Peay State University. The Conference will be located on the 3rd floor in the Morgan University Center from 8:30am to 2:30pm.
The purpose of the conference is the prevention of juvenile delinquency via increasing the awareness of issues, programs and resources available to youth, parents, teachers, college students, advocates, officers of the court, and concerned citizens. [Read more]
