Customs House Museum Exhibits Tom Malone: Art from Influence

The first thing one notices about Tom Malone’s figurative works are the eyes. Expressionistic and haunting, there is a continuity that is Malone’s signature style. Displayed in chronological order, the viewer can sense the development of Malone’s talent.
Riverside Drive Lane Closures for Clarksville’s Riverfest and Park Information

Clarksville, TN – There will be lane closures on Riverside Drive for Clarksville’s Riverfest through September 7th. Traffic will be slower moving than usual during this time period, so we recommend drivers plan alternate routes or give themselves plenty of time to travel to their destination.
Free parking will be available at Austin Peay State University’s Dunn Center parking lot. Bus service will be running every 30-45 minutes to shuttle patrons to the Riverfest gates on Saturday only, beginning at 9:30am and continuing until the park closes.

APSU Governors vs Tennessee Volunteers Football Game Viewing Party at Tilted Kilt in Clarksville

Opening Convocation Aimed at Welcoming CMCSS Students to College

Clarksville, TN – With the grant awarded to the STEM Academy at Kenwood High School and Middle College High School, the fall semester at Austin Peay State University kicks off with 170 CMCSS students who will be transitioning into college via dual enrollment.
More impressively, they are doing so without incurring any personal expense.

Dunbar Cave State Park Programs for August 5th through August 10th, 2013

Clarksville, TN – Dunbar Cave State Natural Area has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.
Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs this summer. There are programs for children and adults.
Upcoming events include:Wildflower Walk, Fishing Equipment and Techniques, History of Port Royal, Evening Trail Hike, APSU Bat Night and Nature Detectives!

Clarksville, TN – One of the highlights of Austin Peay State University’s annual reading initiative, The Peay Read, is the special presentation from the book’s author.
The common reading assignment for the Fall 2013 semester is “Saints at the River” by Ron Rash, who will speak at 7:00pm, Thursday, September 26th in the Dunn Center at APSU. The talk is free and open to the public. A book signing will follow his talk.
