Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) Foundation elected three new officers to serve on its board during the spring dinner the foundation hosted for its members at the University’s Morgan University Center . Chairman Tommy Bates, Vice Chair Barry Kulback (’79) and Secretary Casey Jenkins were selected to lead the organization.

Billy Atkins Family and Legends Bank partner to create scholarship for APSU students

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) Foundation recently received a generous gift from Billy Atkins and Legends Bank to create the Billy Atkins Family Endowed Scholarship. Atkins will provide additional funding to allow the scholarship to be awarded during the 2019-20 academic year.

APSU raises over $10 million to achieve new second-highest giving year in University history

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – A fundraising total of $10.39 million in gifts and pledges has been reached by Austin Peay State University (APSU) for the 2019 fiscal year.

This number illustrates a 40 percent increase in the average annual fundraising amount over the last five years. The total surpasses the $9.86 million raised in 2018, making this the second-highest giving year in University history.

APSU Department of Music establishes scholarship in honor of Norma Jean Smith

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – A scholarship to benefit students has been established by the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Department of Music to honor the memory of the late Norma Jean Smith.

Smith was an administrative assistant at APSU for 36 years. She worked in the Department of Music from 1990 to 2015.

Edelweiss Club of Clarksville establishes endowed scholarship for APSU students

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) recently received a donation of $123,000 from the Clarksville Edelweiss Club to create the Edelweiss Club of Clarksville German Endowment. Edelweiss Club President Mary Ann Miner and Carl Eisemann presented the gift to APSU President Dr. Alisa White and retired Lt. Gen. Ronald Bailey, APSU vice president for external affairs, at a signing ceremony on May 10th, 2019.

Parents of late APSU student establish the Tyler Head Agriculture Memorial Endowment

May 14, 2019

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) agriculture student Tyler Head passed away on February 3rd, 2012. He was only 20 years old. In May of that year, his parents, Chuck Head and Gina Head Hieber, made a gift to the APSU Foundation, establishing a pass-through scholarship to honor his memory.
