Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – APSU’s chief academic official, Dr. Tristan Denley who currently serves as Provost, has informed the campus community that he has accepted a position with the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, pending an official vote by the TBR.

Tentative plans are for Denley to begin in his new role with TBR in August.

Dunbar Cave State Park to build Butterfly Garden

Dunbar Cave seen from across Swan LakeClarksville, TN – If you have visited Dunbar Cave State Park lately, you will have noticed that the back plaza area has been dug up and is mainly a pile of dirt. This area is being prepared for a Butterfly Garden.

When Dunbar Cave was bought in 1973 and turned into a state park, the area in front of the bath house of the visitor center was a swimming pool. However, the pool was in such disarray that is was not economical to fix it. So the state decided to fill it in with dirt.

Clarksville Area Job Fair to have over 40 Employers Participating

The Seal of the State of TennesseeNashville, TN – Tennessee State Representative Curtis Johnson (R–Clarksville) announced he has partnered with the Tennessee Department of Labor, and the City of Clarksville, to host a job fair for the people of Montgomery County and surrounding areas.
