Montgomery County to host Hazardous Waste Collection this Saturday, March 22nd
Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County is hosting a Household Hazardous Waste and Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator Collection Event on Saturday, March 22nd from 8:00am to 1:00pm at Veterans Plaza located at 350 Pageant Lane in Clarksville.
Any Tennessee resident may participate.

Clarksville, TN – The Two Rivers Chapter of the American Red Cross will be hosting the 3rd Annual Escoffier Dinner – The Art of French Cuisine, on Saturday, April 12th beginning at 6:00pm at The Looking Glass Restaurant located at 329 Warfield Boulevard Suite H, Clarksville, Tennessee.
Tickets are available for $100.00 per person and all proceeds will support the American Red Cross whether it’s responding to a disaster, teaching skills that can save a life, or assisting our military members and their families. Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s new Fly Fishing program for youth and teens has a few spots left
Clarksville, TN – Do you like fishing? Are you interested in aquatic environments? Clarksville Parks and Recreation has teamed up with the National Fishing in Schools Program to offer a class in basic fly fishing and spots are still available!
Class will be held at the Crow Community Center on Thursdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm, March 20th through April 10th, and is open to grades 6-12. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville community gathered together at Northeast High School on Saturday to honor Ms. Debbie Wilson for her 20 years of service bringing the arts to students in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System.
“It’s an amazing thing when you realize that you done something for 20 years,” said Debbie Wilson shortly before the concert was to begin. “I am humbled that my students and alumni chose to honor me this evening.”

APSU Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity wins fourth Best Chapter of the Year award

Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity chapters at the University of Alabama, the University of Mississippi, Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, were all vying to be named the best chapter in the southern region.
Manna Café to hold Mobile Pantry at Montgomery Central Elementary School
Clarksville, TN – Manna Café Ministries will conduct a Mobile Pantry on Saturday, March 15th beginning at 10:00am at Montgomery Central Elementary School, 4011 Highway 48.
At this event Manna Café will be giving away food to anyone in the community needing assistance with groceries. A valid ID must be presented to receive a food box at the Mobile Pantry event. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – The next meeting of the Clarksville (TN) Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, March 19th, 2014 at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Gateway Medical Center. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall.
The meeting begins at 7:00pm and is always open to the public. Members please bring a friend or two – new recruits are always welcomed.
