Montgomery County, TN – Downtown Commons’ Downtown @ Sundown Concert series is nearly over! Come catch our second to last show Friday, October 4th from 7:00pm-10:00pm.
We’re starting the night off with a local cover band that has been entertaining Clarksville for over 30 years! The Beagles will take the stage at 7:00pm to perform hits from the 70’s all the way up to today.
Cumberland Winds German Band brings Oktoberfest to the Roxy Regional Theatre, October 2nd
Clarksville, TN – The sounds of marches, polkas, waltzes and German music typical of the Oktoberfest season will fill the hall of Clarksville’s oldest professional theatre, the Roxy Regional Theatre, for one evening this autumn.
The Cumberland Winds German Band presents a special Oktoberfest concert in the intimate setting of the Roxy Regional Theatre on Wednesday, October 2nd, at 7:00pm.
Featuring vocalist Sarah Queen, musical selections will include “Alte Kamaraden,” “Liechtensteiner Polka,” “Einmal Am Rhein” and other favorite marches, polkas, waltzes, and German music typical of the Oktoberfest season.

#BeThere Clarksville Summit to feature “Lived-Experience” Panel
Clarksville, TN – A local suicide prevention summit will feature a “lived-experience” panel discussion led by two people whose lives have been touched by suicide.
Bryan Flanery, an U.S. Army Veteran who was injured in combat in Afghanistan and who survived a suicide attempt, and Cynthia Johnson, an author and hospice coordinator who endured the tragedy of losing her son to suicide, will share their stories.
Welcome Home Veterans Celebration
Clarksville, TN – The annual Welcome Home Veterans Celebration brought a busy schedule of events over a five day period, all designed to honor and celebrate our Veterans.
Activities began on Wednesday with the arrival of the American Veterans Traveling Tribute Wall, the Korean War Memorial and the 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit at Beachaven Winery. A procession actually began at Appleton Harley Davidson and traveled through town, delivering the impressive displays to their temporary location.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation now accepting registration for Youth Volleyball League
Clarksville, TN – Are you looking for a way to ace your child’s activities this winter? Your child can bump, set, and spike their way through the season with the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department’s youth volleyball league for youths ages 9-14.
This league will give participants the opportunity to play volleyball at the recreational level while still being competitive. A National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) trained coach will work with participants to improve individual skills such as bumping, setting, hitting and serving.
APSU’s Department of Theatre and Dance to presents “Working: A Musical”, October 3rd-6th
Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, October 3rd, 2019, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Department of Theatre and Dance will present “Working: A Musical,” directed by Noel Rennerfeldt, choreographed by Margaret Rennerfeldt and sponsored by the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is seeking vendors to participate in two events, Handmade Holidays and Community Holiday Bazaar.
Handmade Holidays is a two-day, indoor juried craft market featuring more than 60 of the best independent artists, designers, and crafters from the area. This year’s event will be 9:00am to 4:00pm, Saturday, November 9th and from noon to 4:00pm, Sunday, November 10th at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.
Austin Peay State University to host global “do it” exhibit – where visitors help create the art
Clarksville, TN – What would happen if an art exhibition never stopped? The constantly evolving do it answers that question, generating new versions of itself every time it has been presented in the last 26 years, all over the world.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Fright on Franklin set for October 26th
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation has partnered with Altra Federal Credit Union for the 11th annual Fright on Franklin from 3:00pm-6:00pm Saturday, October 26th, 2019 in Downtown Clarksville.
Fright on Franklin is a free, family-friendly event featuring safe trick-or-treating, a hayride, costume contests, and more in historic downtown Clarksville. Follow the screams (of delight) to an afternoon and evening of fun Halloween-themed activities.
A costume contest will be staged at the City Hall/US Bank parking lot. Prizes will be awarded for “Best Costume” in each age group and “Best Group.” Pre-registration is required online at www.ClarksvilleParksRec.com through October 25th. The contest is free to enter.
