Austin Peay State University named “2012 Great College To Work For”
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University is one of the best colleges in the nation to work for, according to a new survey by The Chronicle of Higher Education.
In addition, APSU was the only public university in Tennessee to make the list.
The results, released today in The Chronicle’s fifth annual report on The Academic Workplace, are based on a survey of more than 46,000 employees at 294 colleges and universities.

Montgomery County Mayor’s Office announces New Animal Control Director
Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Mayor’s Office is pleased to announce that Tim Clifton has been selected as the director of Montgomery County Animal Control. He has been serving as the interim director for the facility for the past month.
Tim most recently served as the School Resource Officer Supervisor at the Sheriff’s Office.

Recycled Fashion Show to make its debut at this year’s Riverfest
Clarksville, TN – Riverfest, the two-day music and arts festival scheduled for September 7th-8th, 2012 at McGregor Park, is excited to announce a new addition to this year’s attractions, the first annual Riverfest Recycled Fashion Show, sponsored by Bi-County Waste Management.

The 2012 Riverfest Festival to be held on September 7th and 8th
Clarksville, TN – Join the City of Clarksville, Budweiser, and Agero along the banks of the Cumberland River as they celebrate Clarksville’s river heritage at the 25th annual Riverfest Celebration, September 7th and 8th, 2012. This FREE, two day music and arts festival features four stages of a variety of local, regional and nationally-known entertainers, delicious food, and fun for the entire family.
The music kicks off Friday night at 5:00pm with a great lineup of Christian performers on the Mary’s the Music Store Stage to include MIKESCHAIR who will perform at 9:00pm. Eliminator and Little Queen will take to the Bud Light Stage on Friday night, followed by the ultimate Journey tribute band, Chain Reaction.
