Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library Children Programs Tuesday
Clarksville, TN – The Children’s elf, Fusby has been watching out all weekend in the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library Family to see all the good children. He was hanging out up on a shelf with a dear friend of ours. Come see if you can find the elf.
He is hoping that many of you come to storytime tomorrow morning at 9:30am for the Family Time Story Time, and 10:30am for the Just for Me program for 4 and 5 year olds.
“Let’s Find: Snow” at the Customs House Museum
Clarksville, TN – On December 12th and 13th, the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center will have their “Let’s Find: Snow” program.
Children 3 – 5 years old and their grown-ups are invited to explore the Museum from a child’s perspective. Put on your coats and come take a walk with Ms. Sue as we enjoy some snowy places in the Kimbrough Gallery. We will also make snowmen and find out what they do at night.

Crow Community Center introduces Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s first-ever Tai Chi program
Clarksville, TN – The Crow Community Center, located at 211 Richview Road, will host a brand-new program this New Year, Tai Chi for Arthritis! Tai Chi for Arthritis will take place Tuesdays from 3:00pm to 4:00pm beginning January 8th.
Instructed by Stuart Bonnington, this program is open to adults of any age who may be suffering from arthritis. Bonnington is certified by the Arthritis Foundation as an instructor of their Tai Chi for Arthritis program. «Read the rest of this article»
Gateway Chamber Orchestra recognized on 55th Annual Grammy Awards nominees list
Clarksville, TN – On Wednesday night, following a nationally televised concert in Nashville, the nominees for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards were announced.
Near the very bottom of that list of nominees, available online at www.grammy.com/nominees, was the category for “Producer of the Year, Classical,” and the name Blanton Alspaugh.

Santa Claus to visit Clarksville Community Centers
Clarksville, TN – Santa Claus is coming to the Clarksville Community Centers this week!
Santa will be at the Crow Community Center from 6:00pm-7:00pm this evening, the Kleeman Community Center from 5:00pm-6:00pm on December 12th and the Burt-Cobb Community Center from 5:30pm-7:30pm on December 13th.
Each Center will host activities as well!
Austin Peay’s Help an Elf program provides Christmas gifts for children of students
Clarksville, TN – For the past 18 years, Austin Peay State University campus organizations and departments and individuals have served as Christmas angels, making sure income-eligible students had gifts for their children during the holiday season.

Fort Campbell’s 5th Special Forces Group and National Guard learn Agriculture techniques at APSU Farm
Austin Peay State University
Clarksville, TN – The goat, a runt in terms of size, limped around a make-shift pen set up on the grounds of the Austin Peay State University Environmental Education Center, or APSU farm.
His hoof was overgrown and infected, prompting APSU adjunct professor of agriculture Bob Moore to pull out a pair of metal trimmers and clip back the gnarled, black growth as if it were simply a long fingernail.

101st Airborne Division Band to perform Holiday Concert at Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library
Clarksville, TN – The 101st Airborne Division Band from Fort Campbell, KY will be performing in the atrium of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library at 6:00pm on Tuesday, December 11th, 2012.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation to begin Softball and Kickball Spring Registration in the New Year
Clarksville, TN – A team coaches meeting will be held January 26th, 2013 at 3:00pm at the Burt Cobb Community Center, located at 1011 Franklin Street. This meeting will provide an opportunity for participants to voice any questions or concerns they may have regarding this league.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation will be kicking off for the spring and summer Recreation Leagues beginning January 28th, 2013.
