Catch a free showing of “Gone with the Wind” at Clarksville’s Movies in the Park this Saturday
Clarksville, TN – Join Clarksville Parks and Recreation this Saturday, August 31st, at Liberty Park for this week’s Movies in the Park event, featuring the epic historical romance film, “Gone with the Wind,” adapted from Margaret Mitchell’s Pulitzer-winning 1936 novel.
“Gone with the Wind” is about a manipulative Southern belle, Scarlett O’Hara, who lives on her family’s cotton plantation in Georgia, carries on an affair with a blockade runner, Rhett Butler, during the American Civil War.

APSU Governors vs Tennessee Volunteers Football Game Viewing Party at Tilted Kilt in Clarksville
Clarksville, TN – Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery, located at 2790B Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in Clarksville, will be showing the UT Vols vs. Austin Peay Governors game on Saturday, August 31st, 2013.
Kickoff is slated for 5:00pm and the game will be shown on one of The Kilt’s jumbo 180 inch television screens.

Clarksville’s Kleeman Community Center to host 2nd Annual Money Management Fair
Clarksville, TN – The Kleeman Community Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, will be hosting the 2nd Annual Money Management Fair on September 28th from noon to 4:00pm.

Clarksville Job Fair to support Montgomery County Friends of the Shelter
Clarksville, TN – Convenient Car Care, Inc., a Clarksville based automotive company, is hosting a job fair at the Valvoline Instant Oil Change on Tuesday September 3rd, from 10:00am-3:00pm, and company officials indicate they will use the event to raise money and awareness for the Montgomery County Friends of the Shelter.
“We support the Montgomery County Friends of the Shelter, and want to support them in any way we possibly can,” said Candace Ursery, VP of Convenient Car Care. “Not only will we be hiring new members for our team, but we will be raising money and collecting bags of dog food for the Friends of the Shelter on September 3rd” Ursery said.

Clarksville’s 8th Annual ‘Frolic on Franklin’ coming September 14th, 2013
Clarksville, TN – Downtown Clarksville’s 8th Annual “Frolic on Franklin: A Celebration of the Arts” will take place Saturday, September 14th from 9:00am-3:30pm. The free event will showcase the works of 20 local and regional artists, staged and roaming entertainment, artists’ demonstrations, and baked goods – all along the 100 block of historic Franklin Street.
A variety of original fine art, as well as handmade crafts, will be on display including paintings and photography, handmade toys, wood-turned items, quilts, fabric purses and totes, pottery, wreaths, hand-painted signs, jewelry, woven and knitted items, and seasonal gifts. Items will be for sale with prices ranging from $2.00 – $250.00.

Dunbar Cave State Park Programs for August 27th and 31st, 2013
Clarksville, TN – Dunbar Cave State Natural Area has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.
Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs this summer. There are programs for children and adults.

Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery Raises over $65,000 for the Folds of Honor Foundation
Tempe, AZ – Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery raised $65,706 for Folds of Honor, which provides educational scholarships for dependents and families of fallen or disabled service members.
Tilted Kilt raised the funds during a six-week period as part of its third annual “Here’s to The Heroes” promotion at all of its restaurants across the country. Customers had the option of donating an additional $1.00 or $5.00 to have their name written on customized paper dog tags displayed on restaurant walls.

Clarksville’s Pisgah Elementary School to Host Community Open House Sunday
Montgomery County, TN – A community open house will be held at Pisgah Elementary School Sunday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. The school is located on the corner of Hazelwood Road and Needmore Road.
