Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce announces upcoming events during the month of September.
On September 14th at 8:00am, the Clarksville Young Professionals will be hosting their annual Give A Kick Kickball Tournament at the Swan Lake Sports Complex, 2002 Sanders Road. Clarksville’s Riverfest Regatta Saturday, September 7th at the McGregor Park Boat Ramp
Clarksville, TN – The Riverfest Regatta begins Saturday, September 7th, 2013 at 10:00am at McGregor Park Boat Ramp. The Regatta is sponsored by U.S. Bank.
This year marks the 7th year for the annual Riverfest Regatta, where participants build their own boats made of cardboard or plastic bottles and race them on the Cumberland River. The heats are timed with the fastest time being declared the winner in the respective classes. The course is 100 yards long.
Check in for participants starts at 9:00am.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Sleep Under the Stars Fall Family Campout
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department invites you to sleep under the stars at Billy Dunlop Park.
Registration is underway for the spring family camp out beginning at 2:00pm Saturday, September 21st, until 9:00am Sunday, September 22nd, at the park located at 1930 East Boy Scout Road.

Clarksville’s Riverfest begins Friday, September 6th
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Riverfest begins this weekend Friday, September 6th and Saturday, September 7th, 2013. This two day festival runs Friday from 5:00pm to 11:00pm and Saturday from 10:00am to 11:00pm.
On, Friday, Christian recording group Sidewalk Prophets will be performing at 9:00pm on the First Baptist Church Stage.

Clarksville Job Fair Tuesday, September 3rd
Clarksville, TN – Convenient Car Care Inc. of Clarksville has announced they will be hosting a Job Fair on Tuesday, September 3rd from 10:00am-3:00pm, at their Valvoline Instant Oil Change, 1869 Madison Street, located next to the Goodyear Tire and Service Center.
They are looking to hire fifteen new employees to work within their company. No experience is necessary and job training will be provided.

Clarksville Firefighters hosting Muscular Dystrophy Association Boot Drive
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Firefighters will be out in full force this Labor Day weekend as the annual MDA Boot Drive is underway now through September 2nd.
In conjunction with the annual MDA telethon, raising money and awareness for Muscular Dystrophy, Clarksville Fire Rescue personnel will be at Wal-Mart on Fort Campbell Boulevard, Wal-Mart on Madison Street, and Wal-Mart on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, Kroger on Dover Crossing Road, Kroger on Lowes Drive, Kroger and Dollar General Market on Madison Street, and Big Lots on South Riverside Drive in Clarksville collecting money from 11:00am to 3:00pm.

Montgomery County Government to Vote on Ordinance Requiring Shade for Outdoor Dogs
Montgomery County, TN – On Tuesday, September 3rd at 7:00pm, an amendment is being presented to the Montgomery County Commission that will require that pet owners ensure outdoor pets have access to shade on hot days.
Currently, our local Animal Control department is not requiring pet owners to provide shade for their animals because the law doesn’t say “shade.”

Miller-Motte Technical College to hold Ribbon Cutting for new CDL Program
Clarksville, TN – Miller-Motte Technical College is excited to announce the addition of a new program created in response to the area’s growing transportation and material moving industry.
The new Truck Driver Training program will provide students today with the training they need to become the machine and vehicle operators of the future.
