Clarksville-Area Chamber of Commerce crowns 2014 Miss River Queen & Teen
Clarksville, TN – Bailey Piercefield has been named Miss River Queen 2014, while Macy Moyer will reign as the new Miss River Teen. The new titleholders were crowned at the pageant held Saturday, March 8th at Austin Peay State University’s Clement Auditorium. They will be moving on to compete at the Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Tennessee Teen USA Pageants.

New Watauga Summer Arts Camp at APSU now accepting applications
Clarksville, TN – Applications are now being accepted for the Watauga Arts Academy, a new summer arts camp hosted by Austin Peay State University, in cooperation with the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts.
This two-week summer program is designed for high school students (grades 9-12) who have a passion and interest in the creative arts.

APSU Honors Program students excel at state conference
Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Honors Program recently attended the Tennessee Collegiate Honors Council state conference at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN.
The APSU program brought 13 students to the conference and boasted six student presentations.

APSU art students earn several awards and scholarships
Clarksville, TN – February turned out to be a good month for the Austin Peay State University Department of Art, with several students earning prestigious awards and scholarships.

APSU Beef Show Team wins at Dixie National
Clarksville, TN – The four members of the Austin Peay State University Beef Cattle Show Team woke up around 2:30am on February 9th and went to work grooming a heifer in the livestock pen.
Since September, they’d spent most of their free time at the APSU Farm and Environmental Education Center, making sure the animal was in tip-top shape, and in a few hours, they hoped all their hard work would pay off.

Clarksville, TN – The eternal battle of the sexes takes a witty and suspenseful turn in the Roxy Regional Theatre’s 29th annual Shakespeare offering, the timeless comedy “Much Ado About Nothing”, March 7th-15th.
Taylor Galvin and Brandon Beach star as reluctant lovers Beatrice and Benedick, whose endless witty sparring threatens to keep them apart forever. Meanwhile, the two young lovers Claudio and Hero, played by Michael Spaziani and Michelle Foletta, are to be married imminently but for the devious scheming of a resentful prince looking to thwart the nuptials.
