Clarksville-Montgomery County has four graduate from Leadership Middle Tennessee
Clarksville-Montgomery County Graduates for Leadership Middle Tennessee are Frazier Allen, Daniel Binkley, Valerie Hunter-Kelley and Brian Taylor
Nashville, TN – Thirty community and business leaders from Middle Tennessee have graduated from Leadership Middle Tennessee, Inc., a regional leadership institute.
The 2014 class is from the 10-county area which includes Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Maury, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson.

Clarksville’s Dunbar Cave State Park Programs for July 20th through July 26th, 2014
Clarksville, TN – Dunbar Cave State Natural Area has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.
Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs this summer. There are programs for children and adults.
Some of the upcoming events include: Bugs, Slugs and Other Uugs, National Moth Week, Lake Life, Port Royal History Walk, Evening Nature Hike, Kids Nature Games, and Cooling at the Cave.

Clarksville’s Riverfest announces Tracey Lawrence as 2014 Headliner
Clarksville, TN – Riverfest is excited to announce that the multi-platinum CMA and ACM award winning recording artist Tracey Lawrence will be the featured headliner at the 2014 Festival.
Tracey Lawrence will take the main stage as the headlining event on Saturday, September 6th, 2014. The concert is free and open to the public.
Tracy Lawrence is one of the most recognizable voices in Country music with songs such as “Paint Me A Birmingham,” “Time Marches On,” “Alibis,” and “Find Out Who Your Friends Are.”

Fallen Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputy David ‘Bubba’ Johnson to be honored with events Saturday, July 19th
Montgomery County, TN – Two back-to-back events will be held Saturday in honor of fallen Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputy David “Bubba” Johnson.
First, the Inaugural Bubba Johnson Memorial 5K Road Race begins at 8:30am Saturday, July 19th beginning at The Montgomery County Historic Courthouse, Clarksville, TN. There is also a 1-mile “fun run-walk” that will begin and end at Clarksville First Baptist Church.

Clarksville Civil War Roundtable’s next meeting is July 16th, 2014

Clarksville, TN – The next meeting of the Clarksville (TN) Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, July 16th, 2014 at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Gateway Medical Center. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall.
The meeting begins at 7:00pm and is always open to the public. Members please bring a friend or two – new recruits are always welcomed.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Back to School Splash is currently full
Clarksville, TN – Due to an overwhelming response, the 2nd annual Back to School Splash has reached registration capacity.
The Back to School Splash will provide free school supplies and a fun pool party to a total of 600, upcoming Kindergarten-12th graders, at the New Providence Pool and Beachaven Pool on August 2nd, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
