Clarksville Downtown Market’s Vendor of the Week Cumberland Quilting Company
Clarksville, TN – Tucked in the hills and hollers of Cumberland City, Tennessee is the Cumberland Quilting Company studio out of Denise Coulter’s basement.
After over 30 years as an Army wife, the Coulters retired outside of Clarksville. Denise has been working in the quilting industry for over 10 years and now works from her basement-turned-quilting-studio.
“I have been working with needles and thread for as long as I can remember, starting at four years old on my Nonnie’s lap, sewing on a machine.”

Riverfest Volunteer contest continues, now open to those 16 and older
Clarksville, TN – Is your non-profit organization looking to win some cash? The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is offering a $500.00 cash prize to the non-profit organization that provides the most hours volunteered at Riverfest 2014.
Volunteers will be helping with soft drink sales on September 5thand 6th, as well as the Adventure Zone Kids’ Area on September 6th, at McGregor Park.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office hosting fundraiser for employee battling cancer
Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a fundraiser for Sgt. Hope Seay, who is currently battling cancer.
“Sgt. Seay is a part of our MCSO family, and like any family would, we do whatever we can to get them through trying times,” said Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson. “I can only ask for the public to join us by supporting our effort to raise money for Hope as she battles this illness.”

Clarksville’s Tilted Kilt donates over $4,400 to the Folds of Honor Foundation
Clarksville, TN – Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery, with support from the Nashville Chive Chapter, recently raised $4,476 for the Folds Of Honor Foundation.
The “Nashville Chive Unofficial Meetup”, presented by Budweiser of Clarksville, was held at Tilted Kilt on May 17th and included a silent auction, limited edition t-shirt sales, drink and menu specials and more with proceeds going to Folds of Honor.
In addition to Budweiser, additional sponsors for the Chive Meetup included SSF Submission Academy, Touchgolf Products, The Joe Padula Show, and Clarksville Online.
