Clarksville, TN – Everyone’s favorite umbrella-wielding nanny is flying into Clarksville! Stephanie Hawkins stars in Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s “Mary Poppins” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, April 24th – May 23rd.
Based on the books by P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film, this “practically perfect” musical delighted Broadway audiences for over 2,500 performances and received nominations for nine Olivier and seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Filled with timeless classics such as “Jolly Holiday,” “Step in Time” and the Academy Award-winning “Chim-Chim Cher-ee,” this show can only be described as “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!”

Grammy winner Rhonda Larson to visit APSU as final Acuff Chair of Excellence of 2014-15
Clarksville, TN – The final Roy Acuff Chair of Excellence recipient of 2014-15, Grammy Award winning flutist Rhonda Larson, will bring her talents to campus for a series of lectures and master classes at Austin Peay State University the week of April 21st-28th.
During her residency, Larson will share her experiences as a performing artist, as well as offering insight and lessons to APSU and area students. Her visit to campus will conclude on Tuesday, April 28th, with a concert with the APSU Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Gregory Wolynec. The event will take place at 7:30pm at the Mabry Concert Hall, on the campus of APSU.

Free Dance Workshop This Tuesday Evening at the Roxy Regional Theatre
Clarksville, TN – Come out to the Roxy Regional Theatre this Tuesday, April 21st, at 7:00pm, for a free dance workshop led by Philadelphia-based choreographer Jenn Rose, currently in town choreographing the Roxy’s production of Mary Poppins.
Jenn Rose is the founder of Loose Screws Contemporary Tap Company, a Broadway World Philadelphia Audience Choice Award winner and a three time Barrymore Award Nominee.

Clarksville, TN – Ready to get in shape for summer? The Kleeman Community Center is offering J.O.E. (Just Ordinary Exercise) workout classes beginning April 27th-June 22nd and a second session June 29th-August 31st.
Cost is only $65.00 with a Community Center ID for 9 weeks’ worth of classes! Classes will meet Monday through Thursday from 6:00pm-7:00pm and are offered to anyone ages 18 and up. Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government has created the Veterans Network of Care, a breakthrough Web solution for individuals, families and agencies concerned with veterans’ issues.

Clarksville’s Dunbar Cave State Park Programs for April 21st through April 26th, 2015
Clarksville, TN – Dunbar Cave State Natural Area has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.
Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs during the year. There are programs for children and adults.
Some of the upcoming events include: Frog Calls and Evening Hike.
