The role of Annie Sullivan is being skillfully handled by veteran actress Addisyn Bryant.

Addisyn is no stranger to Clarksville audiences. She has been a serious performer and technician with the Roxy Regional Theatre since she was a young girl and has been seen in two major productions at CHS.

This role is Addisyn’s first dramatic role for Wesner, and she states, “It is a role of a lifetime! I am so excited to have the opportunity to bring this amazing woman to life on stage.”

Playing opposite Bryant in the challenging role of the deaf and blind mute Helen Keller is first-timer Logan Wilkerson. Logan is a trained competitive dancer and has been a member of the Cast and Crowns, a Clarksville studio for actors and dancers. However, this is Wilkerson’s first major role at CHS.

An ensemble of talented thespians supports this “dynamic duo”. Supporting cast members include Shea Snow, Seth Devine, Ryan Puckett, Noah Busbee, Trystan Rogers, Bella Sullivan, GG Grigsby, Dionna Davis, Mitchell Wolfe, Ebiere Orusa, Morgan Dye, MacKenzie Larson, Emmaline Fitzgerald, Laiken Castro, and Samantha Valcorcel.

In an unprecedented move, director Barbara Wesner is reaching out to the Clarksville hearing-impaired community with this production. ASL interpreters Daniel Ketner and Dr. LoriAnne Williams will be signing the production, and the CHS Theatre program is offering complimentary admission to the hearing impaired population.

In addition, the CHS advanced art students have been creating artwork featuring communication and language for the visually and hearing impaired. Audiences will be able to walk through the theatre lobby/art gallery on the evenings of performance.

The Miracle Worker is based on the biography of noted teacher and lecturer Helen Keller and is appropriate for all school-aged children.
