Clarksville, TN – The next meeting of the Clarksville (TN) Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, July 20th, 2016 at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Tennova Medical Center. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall.
The meeting begins at 7:00pm and is always open to the public. Members please bring a friend or two – new recruits are always welcomed.

3rd Annual Deputy Bubba Johnson Memorial Road Race set for August 13th, 2016
Montgomery County, TN – The 3rd Annual “Deputy Bubba Johnson Memorial Road Race” is being held on Saturday Night August 13th 2016 at Beachaven Winery on Dunlop Lane in Clarksville, Tennessee.
The 5K will start at 9:00pm and the 1 Mile Fun Run at 8:30pm.
This event is being held to raise funding for a scholarship in Deputy Bubba Johnson’s name for the children of local Public Safety Personal attending Austin Peay State University.

Clarksville, TN – Pokémon Go, the new GPS-based augmented reality game, has brought dozens of new visitors to the Austin Peay State University campus this week, but many of these individuals are putting themselves at risk by entering closed-off construction sites.
Clarksville Youth Learn About Miami & Enjoy The Bahamas
Clarksville, TN – Miami and the Bahamas were the destination for the LEAP Organization’s 6th Annual Educational Excursion.
Children from Clarksville along with chaperones and community members embarked on a five-day journey to Miami to educate LEAP youth by exposing them to other cities, cultural differences and historical landmarks.
Participants visited the Holocaust Memorial, Jewish Museum, History of Miami Museum, and the Miccosukee Indian Village where they experienced an airboat ride through the everglades followed by an alligator show.
Clarksville Montgomery County School System Administrator Announcements
Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery County School System has appointed two veteran administrators to middle school principal positions effective for the upcoming school year.
Current New Providence Middle School Principal Laura Barnett will serve as the new principal at Rossview Middle School. Richview Middle School Assistant Principal Laura Boss will take over at Northeast Middle School.
