Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Ready to get in shape for summer? The Kleeman Community Center is offering J.O.E. (Just Ordinary Exercise) workout classes beginning April 27th-June 22nd and a second session June 29th-August 31st.

Cost is only $65.00 with a Community Center ID for 9 weeks’ worth of classes! Classes will meet Monday through Thursday from 6:00pm-7:00pm and are offered to anyone ages 18 and up. Registration is available at recpro.cityofclarksville.com or onsite at the Kleeman Center. [Read more]

Dunbar Cave State Park - Clarksville TNClarksville, TNDunbar Cave State Natural Area has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.

Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs during the year. There are programs for children and adults.

Some of the upcoming events include: Frog Calls and Evening Hike.

F&M Investment Services - Raymond James - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – The economic data reports were mixed. Retail sales picked up in March, following a weak trend in the three previous months. Industrial production fell 0.6%, reflecting a plunge in oil and gas drilling and a decrease in the output of utilities (more normal temperatures).

Manufacturing output edged up 0.1%, with mixed results across industries. Building permits and housing starts fell in March, largely reflecting the usual volatility in the multi-family sector. Single-family permits, the key figure in the report, rose 2.1% (up 4.1% y/y).

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – The 13th annual Rivers and Spires Festival continued Friday evening, April 18th with thousands of people descending on downtown Clarksville. Again, the weather was perfect with temperatures in the mid 60’s.

Everyone was had a good time. There were plenty of things to do like the laser tag area, face painting, the sports zone and the family fun zone. As for entertainment, the stages were jammed packed with talented artist performing.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Liberty Live Concert Series begins May 1st

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Liberty Live summer concert series returns for its second season at Liberty Park on Friday, May 1st! This first concert in the series will feature Americana artist, The Mike + Ruthy Band. Admission is free but concessions will be available for purchase.

The show is set to begin at 6:30pm and conclude at 9:30pm.

Rivers and Spires continues tonight in Downtown Clarksville

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Rivers and Spires Festival begins tonight, Friday, April 17th at 5:00pm. Come out and music, artistic exhibits, thrilling competitions, and vendor booths.

The Northeast High School Exit One and JV Show Choirs will start things off on the Courthouse Stage at 5:00pm. Also at 5:00pm, Khamsin will be on the Strawberry Alley Stage, Few Miles On will play on the Public Square Stage and The Art of Hula will be on the Main and Third Stage.
