S.T.E.P.S collecting school supplies for 2014-2015 School Year
Clarksville, TN – It’s that time of the year where our non-profit S.T.E.P.S (School Tools that Empower and Promote Success) starts collecting school supplies for the next school year 2014-2015
Starting June 1st, S.T.E.P.S will be looking for businesses, clubs, groups, and organizations to place S.T.E.P.S youth created collection boxes around Clarksville til August 3rd.

Clarksville Downtown Market provides fresh produce, handcrafted items to Clarksville residents
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Downtown Market opened last week to a spectacular reception. The market has been getting bigger and bigger every year since it was founded 6 years ago. It is a one-stop shop for produce, baked goods, as well as an incredible selection of arts and crafts.
We’ve got 19 new vendors this year,” said Matthew Nixon, an event planning specialist, and the Downtown Market Manager for the City of Clarksville’s Department of Parks and Recreation when he was asked what’s new at the market this year. “We’re doing kids crafts every Saturday now. We got four food trucks which were very proud of. So we’ve got a little bit of new things here and there, and if you look around we have grown a little bit since last year.”

Montgomery Central High School Cheerleaders to hold Car Wash Saturday, May 31st
Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, May 31st, the Montgomery Central High School Varsity Cheerleaders will be holding a car wash fundraiser at Hilltop Super Market from 9:00am until 2:00pm.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention & Visitors Bureau offering group tours packages mixing local attractions, big-name concerts
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is engaging in an exciting new Group Tour program that enhances local tourism, while at the same time providing amazing entertainment options for local residents right here at home.
A series of group tours lasting for 4 days each are planned for Memorial Day, the 4th of July, and Labor Day; and are billed as “Heroes, Hometowns and Legends.” With the final tour this year being a 3 day event planned for the Christmas season billed as “God, Country, Christmas.”

Alzheimer’s Association hosts Caregiver Conference at First Baptist Church July 24th, 2014
Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, July 24th, 2014 the Alzheimer’s Association will be putting on a Caregiver Conference at First Baptist Church. Visit exhibitors, learn from professionals and enjoy time with other family caregivers.
The conference is free to attend. Light breakfast and lunch is included. Respite care available at no cost. You must register to attend and space is limited.
APSU awards degrees to more than 1,100 students
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University hosted its 85th Spring Commencement ceremony on May 9th, in the campus’ Dunn Center.
More than 1,100 students from the College of Arts and Letters, College of Behavioral and Health Sciences, College of Business, Martha Dickerson Eriksson College of Education, College of Science and Mathematics, and School of Technology and Public Management were awarded degrees.
