TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras Season Six Fall Premiere Features Clarksville, TN
Clarksville, TN – The sixth season fall premiere of TLC’s primetime hit show Toddlers & Tiaras will have a hometown feel for the residents of Clarksville-Montgomery County, Tennessee.
The newest season of Toddlers & Tiaras, the series that launched the TV career of the infamous Honey Boo Boo, will include 13 one-hour long episodes that give a behind-the-scenes look at the competitive lives of these tiny beauty queens and their pageant-loving parents, who are all vying for the coveted sparkly crown.
Austin Peay State University History Honor Society wins fifth “Best Chapter of the Year” award
Clarksville, TN – Earlier this month, Dr. Minoa Uffelman was feeling a bit nervous. The Austin Peay State University associate professor of history was eager to find out if APSU’s Phi Alpha Theta (PAT) History Honor Society had won “Best Chapter of the Year” for an unprecedented fifth year in a row.
The National PAT headquarters usually sent her a congratulatory letter in August, but the month passed without any notification.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Fright on Franklin October 26th

Clarksville, TN – With a thin economic calendar, Syria remained a key concern for the markets. However, prospects for a U.S. strike diminished, which helped bolster equity market sentiment. The bond market is looking ahead to the Fed policy meeting. In the bond market, expectations on tapering have solidified somewhat, with a moderate majority seeing a small initial reduction in the pace of asset purchases.
Retail sales for August disappointed (relative to expectations), but figures for June and July were revised a bit higher. Jobless claims were distorted due to upgrades in state computer systems, but the trend had been lower in August. Hiring intentions improved. Consumer sentiment softened.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery Public Library will be offering two new electronic resources for library card holders in Montgomery County – Freegal Music and Universal Class – available immediately on the library website: www.mcgtn.org/library — under the E-Resources tab.
Freegal Music, which is short for Free and Legal, is a resource that expands the collection of music available to C-MCPL library card holders by over 3 million songs. Each cardholder in good standing may download up to three MP3 files per week at no charge. These songs become the property of the library user once they are downloaded. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – The Kleeman Community Center and the Indoor Aquatic Center will be scaring up some Halloween fun with their first-ever Spooky Spectacular on Saturday, October 12th.
The Spooky Spectacular will be open from 3:00pm to 7:00pm with a Haunted Maze and Haunted Swim following from 7:00pm to 10:00pm at both facilities, located side-by-side at 166 Cunningham Lane.

Clarksville, TN – Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery in Clarksville announces the addition of it’s new Video Wall to the pub’s amenities.
The Video Wall consists of nine LED flat screen televisions with full HD, layered 3×3 for a total viewing area of 170″. The wall has multiple configurations to include placing each of the nine tvs on different individual channels, or the entire nine tvs on one channel for 170″ viewing area.
