Roxy Regional Theatre brings back the 50’s and 60’s with “The Marvelous Wonderettes”

Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – The Roxy Regional Theatre is currently staging their production of the Marvelous Wonderettes, a musical revue featuring some of the best music from the 1950’s and 1960’s. In Act I, the show takes back to 1958 where you attend the Springfield High School prom, and the four Wonderettes are providing the musical entertainment for the evening.

The lovely ladies performing as the Wonderettes at the Roxy Regional Theatre are Heather Gault as Betty Jean, Taylor Galvin as Cindy Lou, Ashley Harris as Missy, and Elena Pascullo as Suzy; four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts!

Brown Ph.D., Chief Economist Raymond James Investment ServicesThe Federal Open Market Committee left short-term interest rates unchanged, did not alter its forward guidance on the overnight lending rate, and said it would maintain its asset purchase program at $85 billion per month. The policy statement was a near photocopy of the previous one.

The FOMC indicated that recent inflation readings have been low due partly to “transitory influences.” The downside risks to the outlook for growth and the labor market had “diminished” since the fall. The FOMC repeated that it could “increase or reduce” the pace of asset purchases depending on how the outlook for the labor market or inflation changes. [Read more]

This free program for all ages. The program will be put on three times on Saturday, 11:00am, 2:00pm and 5:00pm.

The event will take place at the cool entrance to Dunbar Cave.

F&M Investment Services - Raymond JamesClarksville, TN – Equities across the globe fell sharply after Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke implied that the central bank may start to wind down its asset purchases later this year if the economy continues to improve. The three major domestic indices took a hit, and the CBOE Volatility Index spiked to a new high this year.

The statement triggered a selloff on Wednesday and Thursday, as markets reacted to the prospect of higher interest rates. Many market observers already had forecast when this third round of quantitative easing would dial down, but the markets responded regardless. [Read more]

Dunbar Cave State Park Programs for June 23rd through June 29th, 2013

Clarksville, TNDunbar Cave State Natural Area has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.

Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs this summer. There are programs for children and adults.

Upcoming events include: Tree Identification Hike, Creek Animals, Night Hike, Nature Detectives. Overnight Backpacking Training (Part 2), Wildflower Hike, Birds of Prey and so much more!
