Bethel UniversityClarksville, TN – Bethel University’s Executive MBA program has garnered yet another honor: The school has been named #1 in enrollment for graduate schools of business by both the Nashville and Memphis Business Journal’s “Book of Lists”. The title is awarded to the graduate school with the highest number of enrollees. A total of 498 students were enrolled in Bethel’s Master’s of Business Administration program in the fall of 2011.

“This is an exciting time to lead Bethel University’s MBA program,” said Executive Vice-President Kelly Sanders-Kelley. “Our growth tells us we’re doing things right, from the thoughtful design of our MBA curriculum to the personal care each student receives. We have developed a program that is rigorous, relevant, and essential in today’s dynamic and competitive business world — and our students are the ones who are truly benefitting.”

Now in its fifth year, Bethel’s Executive MBA program is not just the largest program in the state, but also the fastest-growing. Sanders-Kelley believes that part of Bethel’s success is due to its ability to meet the needs of busy adults.

“The MBA program is unique in several perspectives,” she said, “Students can complete the coursework completely online, giving them the flexibility to meet their professional and personal obligations while pursuing their academic goals.”

Face-to-face seminars led by industry leaders offer students cutting-edge knowledge and the opportunity to network with other business professionals. Kelly points out that students can earn their SACS-accredited MBA degree in as few as 19 months, “without sacrificing the quality of the education for the speed at which it is delivered.” All students receive an Apple iPad to increase learning opportunities.

Bethel’s longstanding history, Sanders-Kelley says, also plays a role in the growth of the program.

“Bethel College was established in Tennessee in 1842, making it one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in the state,” she said. “Students today are looking for a real campus and a rich history. We’ve combined heritage and innovation in our Executive MBA program, offering students the best of both worlds.”

New this year is the launch of two additional MBA concentrations: Healthcare Administration and Information Technology. Both have proved extremely popular with professionals in these competitive, rapidly-changing fields.

Bethel University’s College of Professional Studies maintains satellite campuses in Clarksville, Nashville, Memphis, Jackson and Chattanooga, and offers both undergraduate and graduate classes designed for adult learners.
