The Lone Oak Picnic is this Saturday, July 30th
Cunningham, TN – The 103rd annual Lone Oak Picnic will be held Saturday, July 30th, 2011, in Cunningham, TN, from 9:00am to 3:00pm featuring old time BBQ, political speeches, gospel and bluegrass music, inflatables, and car show. Location is between Highway 13 and Alonzo Place, just west of the Hwy 48/13 split.
The Lone Oak Picnic is a tradition dating back to 1908, and once again Central Civitan Club is proud to host this wholesome, fun, community and family event. All are welcome.
These children just finished having their faces painted during the 2010 Lone Oak Picnic.
For a fee, children may enjoy an inflatable bounce house and train rides. Foods of various sorts will be for sale, including Lone Oak’s famous barbecued pork and chicken.
The picnic is held in Cunningham, TN, in southern Montgomery County. To reach the picnic from Clarksville, travel south on Highway 48/13. At the 48/13 split, just beyond the Montgomery Central schools, turn right to stay on Highway 13. Take the first right onto Alonzo Place. Follow Alonzo Place about one quarter mile.
Central Civitan Club members prepare some good old fashion Barbecue during the 2010 Lone Oak Picnic.
Proceeds will help support youth programs and meet local charitable needs.
