Teen Citizen Police Academy Applications Being Accepted

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department will be hosting The Teen Citizen Police Academy, July 18th through July 22nd, 2011. The course is free and the curriculum includes crime scene investigation, narcotics investigation, K-9 unit, and much more.

The Teen Citizen Police Academy is for teens between the ages of 13-17. The times are 8:00am for Monday and 9:00am Tuesday through Friday, with pick up times no later than 2:45pm each day. The purpose of this academy is to create a better understanding between citizens and police through education.

An application can be picked up at Police Headquarters and dropped off or mailed to: Clarksville Police Department, 135 Commerce Street, Clarksville, Tennessee 37040, Attn: Officer Joe Newman.
