APSU’s 2010 Homecoming features two sports events open to public

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University National Alumni Association will sponsor a couple of sports events during Homecoming 2010 that will be open to the public.

The 32nd Annual Homecoming Golf Tournament will be at 8:00am, Friday, October 8th at Swan Lake Golf Course. Cost is $60.00 per person, and advance registration is required. Fee includes ditty bag, refreshments on the golf course and light lunch. The event, sponsored by Budweiser of Clarksville, is co-chaired by alumni Nelson Boehms (’86) and Frazier Allen (’99).

The Homecoming Scholarship 5K Run will begin at 8:00am, Saturday, October 9th on the front lawn of the Clement Building on College Street. Registration is $20.00 in advance, $25.00 day of race. Advance registration is preferred. The fee includes T-shirt and refreshments. Prizes and cash awards will be announced. Co-chairs are alumni Mike (’78) and Lisa (’81) Kelley, along with Gloria Henshaw (’82), Amelia Wallace (’66), Bill Harpel (’74), Lori O’Shoney (’87), Sandra Fladry, Anna Murray (’83), Jimmy Clark (’07) and Doug Molnar.
