Clarksville Montgomery County School Board Reviews Report Card Results

Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School Board reviewed the system’s results on its newly released state report card during its Tuesday work session, seeing improvements across grades, subjects and schools.
Chief Academic Officer Dr. B.J. Worthington reminded School Board members of the changes that Tennessee schools have experienced with more rigorous standards and assessments; redefined proficiency levels; a change in how results are calculated; and a state-legislated mandate that TCAP assessments count as part of students’ math and language arts grades for the second semester. Clarksville, TN – Back by popular demand, the Clarksville Area YMCA is once again offering the small group, Boundaries. In this eight week group, we will read through the book Boundaries, written by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend.
By understanding physical, mental, emotional and spiritual boundaries, you will learn when to say yes and how to say no to take control of your life. This group will address questions like: Can I set limits and still be a loving person? How do I answer someone who wants my time, love, energy or money? [Read more]
Journey to a New Beginning After a Loss

Clarksville, TN – If the loss of relationships, dreams, finances, health or loved ones is affecting other areas of your life, this small group provides tools for you to process the pain, disappointment and losses so you can live in the present with true hope.
Through discussion and components of art therapy, we will begin to work through the grief while learning to live in freedom from the pain and disappointment. [Read more]
Journey to Freedom

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area YMCA is once again offering Journey to Freedom. This small group is limited to 10 participants and meets weekly for an hour and a half.
A new group starts October 18th and will meet every Tuesday from 6:30pm–8:00pm through December 6th. [Read more]
