Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, November 17th, 2018 during the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Military Appreciation Football Game, the University officially dedicated a POW-MIA chair in the stadium.
As excitement continues to build around Austin Peay’s football program and fans fill the stands at Fortera Stadium, one seat near the American flag will always remain empty.

Clarksville, TN – “Fortnite” lead technical animator Kaye Vassey’s art origin story involves her grandfather’s tractor doodles and, of course, Bob Ross. “My grandfather was a World War II Marine Corps vet – full on Marine Corps tattoo on the arm, the South Pacific war horror stories, the whole thing,” Vassey recalled to an animation class at Austin Peay State University.
“But what he really wanted – his family were plumbers, so he became a plumber – was to be an artist.
APSU Department of Theatre and Dance to present Arthur Miller’s ‘All My Sons’

Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, October 4th, 2018 the Austin Peay State University Department of Theatre and Dance will open its 2018-19 season with “All My Sons” by Arthur Miller. The production will run through Sunday, October 7th.
Show times are 7:30pm Thursday-Saturday, with matinee performances 2:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. All performances are at the Margaret Fort Trahern Laboratory Theatre.
APSU’s Woodward Library Society hosts 10th Annual Society Social event

The Society Social, a fundraising and friend-raising dinner event, will begin at 5:30pm at F&M Bank’s Franklin Room in downtown Clarksville. A social hour will be followed by a dinner catered by Nicolleta’s Catering.

APSU French professor Sorenson is Tennessee’s Foreign Language Teacher of the Year

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University Professor of French literature Dr. Karen D. Sorenson has been named this year’s Jacqueline Elliott Award for Service in Higher Education recipient by the Tennessee Foreign Language Teaching Association (TFLTA).
TFLTA presents this award annually to a foreign language educator at the post-secondary level for outstanding service to the profession.
