F2 Con Gaming Tournament Coming to Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – Visit Clarksville, CDE Lightband and Clarksville Parks and Recreation will host Clarksville’s first gaming and esports convention, F2 Con, Friday and Saturday, April 27th-28th at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.
The two-day competition is produced by Esports Now and offers tournament play, casual gaming and fun for all ages with retro gaming, vendors and live streaming competition. All gaming will take place on CDE Lightband’s gigabit internet.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation launches “Bike Walk Clarksville”

Clarksville, TN – Bike Walk Clarksville, a group of citizens on a mission to promote a more bicycle and pedestrian-friendly community, got rolling this week with a formative meeting at Wilma Rudolph Events Center.
The next meeting is scheduled for 6:00pm Tuesday, March 13th, 2018 at a site to be announced soon. Organizers have set up online sites to inform and connect members.

The popularity of Clarksville’s BCycle bike-sharing system helped inspire the newly formed ‘Bike Walk Clarksville’ citizens group.
Murals, Sculptures, Fountains and Flames Fill Clarksville’s Public Art Trail

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville unveiled its 21st public art piece this month. Twelve of the pieces – at least – are in a proximity that’s easily walkable within the city’s downtown core.
Murals, sculptures, fountains, and flames are among the art pieces you’ll see showcased along city streets, urban trails, buildings and throughout the campus of Austin Peay State University, which is adjacent to downtown. Many of the works were designed or created by Clarksville artists.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department hosted its annual Handmade Holidays this weekend.
This year, more than 70 vendors came to the show which has become a favorite of locals, and an unofficial start to the holiday shopping season.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation will host Handmade Holidays, a two-day, indoor designer craft market featuring more than 60 of the best local and regional independent artists, designers, and crafters.
The sixth annual Handmade Holidays will be from 9:00am to 4:00pm Saturday, November 11th, 2017 and from noon to 4:00pm Sunday, November 12th at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center at Liberty Park, 1188 Cumberland Drive. Admission is free.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Department of Electricity (CDE) hosted its Customer Expo Saturday, September 30th, bringing 1,500 to 2,000 people to the Wilma Rudolph Event Center for food, fun and information.
Privott Stroman, CDE HR Director talked about the purpose of the event. “This is our way to thank our customers, give back, and showcase a lot of the vendors we work with. It’s a great way for us to connect with the community.”
