Clarksville-Montgomery County Green CertificationMontgomery County, TN – Tickets are on sale now for the 2018 Green Certification Banquet. Come enjoy a night dedicated to environmental stewardship and all things green. The banquet will be held Thursday, September 20th, 2018 at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. Doors open at 5:30pm and the evening’s festivities will begin promptly at 6:00pm.

Sara Holloway Cox, Healthy Development Coordinator for the Tennessee Department of Health, will present “How Sustainability Impacts Personal and Community Health”. Attendees will also hear from Rebeckah Dopp, of ERS, who will discuss e-waste recycling in Middle Tennessee and Red Knight Distribution will show how Styrofoam is transformed into something totally new.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation will present its 11th annual Independence Day Celebration on Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018 at Liberty Park. The event is free and open to the public.

Liberty Park will open at 5:00pm to allow handicap parking and activities and music will begin at 6:30pm. Seating is available throughout the park and the concerts will take place on the Great Lawn of the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.

Montgomery Central High School - MCHS - IndiansCunningham, TN – Montgomery Central High School held its 2018 Prom at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center, with about 300 students enjoying this year’s theme, Under the Stars.

Ruth Nunn is the Junior Class Advisor at Montgomery Central High School, she has been instrumental in the school’s proms for 24 of her 25 years there.

“MCHS is unique,” Nunn said “We are the only school in the county whose junior class presents prom to the senior class as a gift. This has been a tradition here at MCHS, I guess, since the school’s earliest proms.”

LG Electronics to hold Informational Event at Wilma Rudolph Event Center on April 18th

LG ElectronicsClarksville, TN – LG Electronics will host its first informational event for LG’s brand new manufacturing facility on Wednesday, April 18th at 7:30am to 8:30am and 5:30pm to 6:30pm. The event will take place at The Wilma Rudolph Event Center, 1190 Cumberland Drive in Clarksville.

The event will provide information for all employee positions including line assemblers, press operators, paint line operators, maintenance, injection mold operators, leads, and other professional opportunities. LG will also be giving away a washer at each event, and you must be present to win.
