Clarksville, TN – Tickets for the The Belk Charity Event will be sold today, Saturday, April 9th, between 1:00pm-3:00pm at the Belk store at Governors Square Mall. The Humane Society of Clarksville Montgomery County will be at the entrance facing Wilma Rudolph Blvd.
Participating charities (including the Humane Society of Clarksville Montgomery County) will be selling Belk Charity Day tickets for just $5.00 each. All proceeds from in-store ticket sales are divided equally among all charities.
Riverside Drive Wendy’s Re-Opens at Last

Clarksville, TN – “It’s been a long ten months,” according to Wendy’s of Clarksville Mike O’Malley speaking about the re-opening of the Riverside Drive Wendy’s location. The store was stripped of everything that wasn’t nailed down just before the rising flood waters deluged the store with 4′ of water in May 2010.
After the flood some tough choices had to be made, including the making the decision to totally rebuild, or not.

Demolition of Bridge over Red River in Clarksville Tennessee

Clarksville, TN – Tennessee Department of Transportation crews demolished part of the existing bridge over the Red River on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard (U.S. 79/State Route 13) in Clarksville Tennessee on Wednesday, January 19th, 2011.
Explosives were detonated at 10:14:05pm and brought down the concrete columns on the southbound bridge.
Shear Madness Studio Opens

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Chamber of Commerce made it official last week when they cut the ribbon to open a new business called Shear Madness Hair Studio, located at 2150 Wilma Rudolph Blvd.
Owner, Claudia George has been a hair artist since 2007 and opened Claudia’s Hair Salon in 2009. This year she changed the name to Shear Madness when she was joined by two other hair Artists; Annette Catalano-Joplin and Angie Henley.
