Clarksville, TN – In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday and National Reading Month, the Roxy Regional Theatre is kicking off their Back to the Movies film series with the hilarious live-action adaptation of Seuss’ beloved tale about two bored children whose lives are turned upside-down when a talking cat comes to visit them.
And thanks to our generous friends at Waterdogs SCUBA & Safety, Dr. Seuss’ “The Cat In The Hat” will be presented free of charge at the Roxy Regional Theatre this Friday, March 5th, 2021 at 7:00pm.

Screening and awards held after months of delay
Clarksville, TN – Eleven teams gathered at Freedom Point Event Center in February to begin a 52-hour scripting, filming, and editing marathon known as the Clarksville Film Festival presented by CDE Lightband.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation hosted the annual event, and while the teams were able to complete their films, the screening and awards ceremony was scheduled during the height of the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, resulting in it being postponed indefinitely.
After months of waiting, the 2020 Clarksville Film Festival Screening and Awards were held on Saturday, September 19th, 2020 at the Roxy Regional Theater.

Clarksville, TN – Dig out your fishnet stockings and sharpen your stilettos! That sweet transvestite and his motley crew are back for the eighth year in an annual tradition at the Roxy Regional Theatre on the corner of Franklin Street and First Street in Historic Downtown Clarksville.
Richard O’Brien’s cult classic “The Rocky Horror Show” returns to the Roxy Regional Theatre for a limited engagement on Friday, October 25th, at 8:00pm. In keeping with the theatre’s traditional pay-what-you-can opening night, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular ticket price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Montgomery Gentry to headline Riverfest

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is pleased to announces that Montgomery Gentry will be the headliner for Riverfest 2019. Riverfest, the City of Clarksville’s arts and entertainment festival, is now in its 32nd year.
Montgomery Gentry will perform at 9:15pm Saturday, September 7th on the Miller Lite Stage at McGregor Park. The concert is free and open to the public.
Clarksville’s Movies in the Park to show “Aquaman” this Saturday

Clarksville, TN – This Saturday, June 29th, 2019, Movies in the Park will feature “Aquaman” at Heritage Park. In it’s 14th season, Movies in the Parks is the City of Clarksville’s free, outdoor movie series.
Pre-show activities, coordinated by the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department, will begin at 6:30pm and include walking on water with Austin Peay State University’s College of STEM and experiencing breathing underwater with Waterdogs Scuba and Safety.

Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery County Green Certification Program (CMCGCP) held a green ribbon cutting on Monday, September 24th, 2018 for the newest certified organization, Waterdogs Scuba and Safety.
The ceremony was attended by Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, Melinda Shepard of the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce, David Graham Director of Bi-County Solid Waste, CMCGCP Steering Committee member Rose Melton (Altra Federal Credit Union), CMCGCP Steering Committee member Doug Jones (Montgomery County), and CMCGCP Manager Carlye Sommers.

“Go Dive Now” Scuba Diving Pool is back at Riverfest

Clarksville, TN – Waterdogs Scuba and Safety has partnered with the National Diving Education Association to bring the “Go Dive Now” program to Clarksville’s Riverfest Festival. If you have ever wondered what it would be like to scuba dive, then here is your chance.
The “Go Dive Now” program will let you try scuba diving under the direction of professional scuba instructors. You will learn how to use scuba gear in shallow water and experience what it’s like to breath underwater.
