Montgomery CountyMontgomery County, TN – The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security has recently installed a self-service kiosk in the Montgomery County Election Commission Office located in the Veterans Plaza at 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 404, Clarksville, TN. This kiosk is one of 40 being installed across the state.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library to hold Writing Workshop for Teens July 21st

Clarksville-Montgomery County Public LibraryClarksville, TN – On Saturday, July 21st at 1:00pm the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library will hold “Scream! Getting heard in a noisy world” writing workshop for teens.

Storyteller, humorist and musician Kim Weitkamp will head the workshop. This workshop is free, open to the public and brought to the Library through a grant by Target Department Stores.

Early Voting Begins

Montgomery County Election Commission Reminds Voters to Present Photo ID at the Polls

Montgomery CountyMontgomery County, TN – Early voting began on Wednesday, February 15th, giving registered voters the opportunity to cast ballots for the March 6th Presidential Preference Primary. This is the first statewide election in which voters are required to show photo identification prior to casting their ballots.

The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department along with Legends Bank have partnered in an effort to honor both current and past coaches who are or have made a unique difference and solid contribution to sports and athletics in the Clarksville-Montgomery County area.

Winning coaches will be honored at the 2011 Legends Award Banquet which will be held March 15th, 2012, beginning at 6:30pm at Montgomery County Civic Hall. Coaches that are currently coaching or coached in 2011 are invited to attend this free event. [Read more]
