APSU, Clarksville Chamber and Montgomery County Hosting Veterans and Homecoming Celebrations this November

Clarksville, TN – This November, Austin Peay State University will partner with Montgomery County and the Clarksville-Area Chamber of Commerce to honor the veterans and military-affiliated individuals who live, study and work in this community.
The University is tailoring its 2014 Homecoming Celebration that month to include the military theme “Gov Strong,” creating a week long community and university celebration for local veterans. Both entities will host several events during the first week of November, culminating in a joint Homecoming/Veterans Day Parade through downtown Clarksville and campus at 10:00am on November 8th.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce announces upcoming events during the month of November.
On November 10th, the Chamber will be hosting the 20th Annual Veterans Day Breakfast at the Austin Peay State University Morgan Center. The morning will begin with a buffet style breakfast at 7:30am followed by a salute to our veterans and then will conclude with COL Andrew P. Poppas, Deputy Commander (Operations), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), serving as the keynote speaker.

Clarksville honors military veterans

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its 18th annual Veterans Day Breakfast on Saturday and honored attending military veterans who fought in wars ranging from World War Two through the present day war in the Middle East.
Citizens and leaders of Clarksville-Montgomery County were in attendance and showed great appreciation of each and every veteran through a standing ovation. Master of ceremonies, Bill Harpel, individually thanked city and county leaders for coming out and showing their support. [Read more]
