Clarksville’s Downtown Kiwanis Club receives UPS Grant

Montgomery County, TN – The Kiwanis Club of Clarksville (Downtown) was recently awarded a $10,000 grant from the UPS Foundation.
This is the second year that Kiwanis has been awarded this grant and it will be used to continue to support children’s literacy in our community.

UPS Delivers Workforce Development Programming to LEAP Students

Nashville, TN – UPS collaborates with the LEAP Organization to educate students on job seeking strategies, best practices to retain employment and receive promotions, and the benefits associated with employment opportunities with UPS.
The goal of LEAP’s Career Readiness Program is to provide youth ages 16 to 24 with critical job skills to prepare them for entry into the workforce. Members of UPS Human Resources Department educated the students on the UPS mission and history then guided them on a tour on their warehouse facility to explain the various positions within the company.
American Red Cross Holiday Campaign Urges Public to Give Something that Means Something

Clarksville, TN – The American Red Cross has launched its holiday campaign and urged people to give hope to those in need by giving something meaningful during the upcoming holiday season.
“Make this holiday season truly meaningful by supporting the Red Cross Holiday Campaign and helping a victim of disaster or by remembering a member of the Armed Forces who is far from home,” said Julie Campos, Chapter Executive for the American Red Cross, Two Rivers Chapter. [Read more]

Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center in Clarksville now providing free medications, dispensing hope to the uninsured. This solution was made possible through partnership with the Dispensary of Hope.
Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center , which has served the Middle Tennessee community for over 40 years, announced today a new partnership with a growing network of pharmacies and clinics to provide free prescription medicines to uninsured individuals in Montgomery County .
This network of care is powered by Nashville-based, Dispensary of Hope, a statewide and national network of dispensing sites, sourcing partners and financial partners that assist poor and underserved individuals in getting the medications they need for the short and long-term. [Read more]
