Clarksville, TN – Earlier this month, at the United Nations global climate summit in Glasgow, Scotland, 197 countries – including the United States – signed a climate pact that included pledges to reduce methane gas pollution, deforestation, and coal financing.

APSU’s Amy Wright publishes new essay collection on entomophagy, or eating bugs

Clarksville, TN – The risotto had crickets in it. Dr. Amy Wright, Austin Peay State University (APSU) professor of languages and literature, knew the insects were dead, but something about their small faces bothered her.
“These were whole crickets, and they appeared to be looking back at us,” she said. “I said, ‘I don’t know if I can do this.”

Austin Peay State University presents Walker Award to Cadet Nathan Brewer

Clarksville, TN – The recipient of the 2013 Command Sgt. Maj. Darol Walker Award at Austin Peay State University is one of the nation’s top ROTC cadets.
Cadet Nathan Brewer with APSU’s Governors Guard Battalion of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) was presented the award during a breakfast ceremony held Thursday, May 2nd at APSU. He already has prior military service, having been assigned to the 5th Special Forces Group and 82nd Airborne Division.
