City of Clarksville Clarksville named Tree City USA for 33rd year

Clarksville, TN – The 2021 Tree City USA rankings have been announced, and Clarksville has been recognized for the 33rd year by the program along with receiving commendation for 16 years of active growth.
Being named a Tree City USA for the 33rd year signifies the City’s commitment to forestry management guidelines and high visibility in stewardship of tree resources.
City of Clarksville to celebrate Arbor Day on April 5th

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville will celebrate Arbor Day by planting two poplar trees at 11:00am on Friday, April 5th, 2019 at Barksdale Elementary School, 1920 Madison Street.
The trees to be planted have been donated by the Clarksville Tree Board.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation offers free Arbor Day tree seedlings

Clarksville, TN – Free tree seedlings will be offered by the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department from 9:00am to 2:00pm on Friday, March 1st at the Smith Trahern Mansion in celebration of Arbor Day.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Arbor Day Foundation and designation as a Tree City USA, coupled with local support, seedlings of 10 species will be given away.
