Clarksville Parks and Recreation to hold Back to School Splash August 3rd

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, August 3rd, 2019, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will hold a pool party at the annual Back to School Splash from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
Registered students will enjoy a fun time at the pool and will receive a backpack full of grade-appropriate school supplies along with a hot dog or pizza, chips, drink and cookie.
APSU Foundation elects new officers at spring 2019 dinner

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) Foundation elected three new officers to serve on its board during the spring dinner the foundation hosted for its members at the University’s Morgan University Center . Chairman Tommy Bates, Vice Chair Barry Kulback (’79) and Secretary Casey Jenkins were selected to lead the organization.

Clarksville’s Trane company welcomed into TDEC’s Green Star Partnership

Clarksville, TN – Trane®, a leading provider of indoor comfort solutions and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand®, is the latest inductee into the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation’s (TDEC) Green Star Partnership for exemplary environmental actions in manufacturing at the company’s Clarksville facility.
The facility in Clarksville was built in 1958 and has expanded over the years to include 1.2 million sq. ft. of production and warehouse space. The plant is located on approximately 110 acres in the heart of Clarksville.
Clarksville’s Trane Facility Awarded $25,000 for Incumbent Worker Training & Apprenticeship Grants

Clarksville, TN – Trane, a world leader in indoor comfort solution and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, was awarded $25,000 for an Incumbent Worker Training grant (IWT) and $25,000 for an Apprenticeship training program for the Clarksville, Tennessee facility.
The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development offers eligible Tennessee employers competitive grant funding to provide skills upgrades for existing workers or train new hires as an incentive to grow their business.

Trane to hold Community Yard Sale to Benefit USO Fort Campbell, April 9th

First Class of 2014 Completes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Workshops

Montgomery County, TN – The first class of 2014 completed the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program (CMCGCP) workshops. The group began in January and concluded a series of three workshops that lasted approximately three hours each in March.
