Clarksville, TN – In the span of two weeks at Austin Peay State University (APSU), two remarkable discoveries of long-forgotten items opened a torrent of memories for two professors with decades-old ties to the school.
The first discovery happened on August 1st, 2019 when an electrician’s assistant working in Kimbrough Building found a billfold that had been missing since 1987.

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Center for Service-Learning and Community Engagement, in association with the departments of Career Services and International Education and the Office of Undergraduate Research, held a High Impact Practices (H.I.P.) Showcase on November 30th, highlighting the work of University students and professors in applying learning to real-world scenarios over the past year.
Over 150 people attended the event, which saw 30 students present their experiences in high impact practices.

Clarksville, TN – On a cold, overcast morning in November, hundreds of well-dressed shoppers huddled against the wind outside a west London British Red Cross store. In America, this type of establishment is simply referred to as a thrift store, but in England, these shops tend to be a little swankier.
“What we think of as a thrift store is not really the same as their thrift stores,” Tracy Nichols, Austin Peay State University communication instructor, said. “Some of their stores are like upscale, New York boutiques.”
