Clarksville, TN β Distinguished Steppers Unlimited (DSU) of Clarksville in its continued effort to cultivate a wholesome social climate in our community and to promote the art of dance as a socially acceptable means of group fitness and entertainment, has partnered with Clarksville Parks and Recreation to extend its programmatic reach to the Hispanic community.
The group is sponsoring a Family Salsa Night event at the Kleeman Community Center under the authority of Ms. Tonya Wacker, Center Director.

Clarksville’s Kleeman Community Center to host Latin American Cultural Festival

Clarksville, TN – Tuesday, December 13th, the Kleeman Community Center was filled with hopeful children awaiting Santa Claus to grace them with an early appearance.
The program was organized by Kleeman Community Center Director Tonya Wacker, who had this to say, βItβs unfortunate for some members of our community that this will be the only taste of Christmas they will be able to experience. My desire is to spread hope and holiday cheer to uplift their spirits.β
Clarksville Parks & Recreation welcomes a new Director to the Kleeman Center

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department welcomes a new full-time member to its staff. Tonya Wacker is the new Director of the Kleeman Community Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane.
Wacker has been a part-time employee of Parks and Recreation for nine years. She began as a gym assistant with the Summer Youth Program at the St. Bethlehem location. She eventually moved on to the Site Director position at the Caldwell Lane and Barksdale locations. Wacker has since served as a part-time staff member at the Crow Center. [Read more]
