Murals, Sculptures, Fountains and Flames Fill Clarksville’s Public Art Trail

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville unveiled its 21st public art piece this month. Twelve of the pieces – at least – are in a proximity that’s easily walkable within the city’s downtown core.
Murals, sculptures, fountains, and flames are among the art pieces you’ll see showcased along city streets, urban trails, buildings and throughout the campus of Austin Peay State University, which is adjacent to downtown. Many of the works were designed or created by Clarksville artists.

Clarksville, TN – The Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is located in historic downtown Clarksville, Tennessee. Come explore an entire city block featuring large gallery spaces filled with fine art, science and history.
Some of the events in December at the Museum are: The Art of the 2Rivers Society of Painters, Tamara Reynolds: Southern Route, Veiled Abstractions: L.A. Bachman, Toys from the Museum Collection, Doggerels: The Illustrations of Edward Gilman, and Noel Night.
Sculptor Tom Rice Retrospective on View at the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center

Clarksville, TN – Endurance in Form: A Retrospective, Tom Rice’s exhibition at the Customs House Museum, is a visual history of his growth as a Tennessee artist.
Included in the extensive show are pieces created from high school to the present, encompassing his experiences and influence of studying abroad, being mentored by the late Olen Bryant, through a 25 year teaching career.

Customs House Museum to hold 7th Annual Champagne and Chocolate Fundraiser January 28th

Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, January 28th, Champagne and Chocolate is back for its seventh installment to benefit the Customs House Museum. Doors open at 5:30pm at the Museum.
